Maiden are a pretty good shout. Would probably sell well especially with a biggish band supporting and bands like Saxon etc underneath.

I think Paramore probably end up there if they're not at Reading.

Looks like Maiden might be touring so if they don’t do their own shows it’ll be this and Paramore for R&L as you’ve said. Paramore have only got the two options really

Foo Fighters? A picture of each band member every couple hours would lead to an announcement tonight  maybe?

We’d have heard off BST by now if there was another headliner coming so soon wouldn’t we? Besides, Foos can sell out Wembley twice over so BST is a bit beneath them (or I’d think as much).

Agreed.

Plus, interest in the Foos is at a peak it's not been at for a decade. If they're doing a fest it'll be R/L (and perhaps Glasgow Green too) to give the best spread, and otherwise (or as well) they'll do a decent demographic spread of stadiums.

So the 6 mentioned above sounds a good shout.

Oh hold on

Sounds about right. They're doing well to be still headlining BST at this point imo. Thought they'd be at Kendal next year.

Wonder if it might be Liam having a crack at it. Might be a bit of a bold move, but his tour is sold out and it would be pretty easy to book a sell-able undercard

He's meant to be doing something big next summer but I'd expect it to be in one of the big outdoor venues of Gtr Manchester.

What are we thinking about a QOTSA, Arctic monkeys or U2 day? Or does Biffys seemingly imminent announcement rule Arctic Monkeys out?

Not sure why that'd rule Arctics out.

Roger, Maiden, Paramore, Kanye, Kasabian, Pumpkins sounds good

I'd say Biffy but I'll go for them doing a Puzzle celebration this year (plz)

Just the bands seem like they'd pull similar crowds to me and thought they wanna mix it up?

Kanye would be interesting!

    • I see, well even if they aren't on sale it's still not a disaster sales wise, it's not like they are struggling to sell a half capacity areana
    • Blue dot wouldn’t be a thing if Ticketmasters dynamic pricing went down as well as up, it proves that the dynamic pricing was just a scam to make more money rather than something that moved with the market supply/demand.
    • I agree that we’ll never really know up until the concert happens (and even then we still may not know) but I think promoters are having to come up with new tactics to combat ‘blue dot fever’ (already hating that phrase!) and trying to imply that concerts are selling better than they actually are / available tickets are in short supply is definitely one of them.    To add though, it is quite common at the O2 Arena for the rear blocks to not go on sale (and then remain closed for the concert and covered over to hide the empty seats). And equally common for standing to sell out first, then side/lower tier seating next and rear/upper tier seating last.    Jungle’s two concerts at the O2 are a good comparison for this - for their 1st (announced) date, all blocks are on sale and seats in all sections remain unsold, whereas for their 2nd date, the rear blocks are greyed out (more so than for Muse) and equally lots of seats remain unsold in the blue blocks. Standing for both concerts are showing as sold out.
    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
