Predictions for 2018

Some decent though unspectacular additions (probably a good thing to keep the clashes down)

I've always found Ice Age and White Denim a bit derivative. Kiran Leonard and Screaming Females seem good and need to get into the Posies finally.

Saw Sunflower Bean live last week. Lightweight but very enjoyable pop.

Looking at the whole poster, it's a fantastic lineup, so much better than Latitude and Green Man, especially looking at the brilliant undercard and with too many other festival posters there's a sense of haven't-we-been-here-before.

Plus no Mac De Marco, thank God...

Couldn’t agree more. Best EotR lineup ever?

Gone through a good few acts I didn't know much about now on Spotify. Initially I was happy sitting in a field drinking and checking out the occasional act but theres about 10 unmissables now. Line up is cracking.

10 per day for me!

Don't know if any of you are podcast fans, but Episode 10 of the podcast I co-host has just been published. Each month we look at 4 recently released albums, one classic that none of us know, and then one of us introduces an artist we love. We've done an End of the Road special episode this month discussing albums from Gruff Rhys, Protomartyr, Soccer Mommy, and Ezra Furman. The classic is from Yo La Tengo and Matt tells us why he loves Big Thief. Would love to hear your thoughts if you've got time for a listen. You can find us on any of the below:
