It really is! Camping out the back of SE Corner this year and now you've put the thought in my head reckon I just might make a Glastonbury Rays at some point.

Is that the one near the Pyramid? I'd heard so many people raving about it that I went to give it a try last year, and they said it would be a half hour wait! So I fucked that off. It's Glastonbury! I'm not waiting around for a pizza!

I do not know why but when I read that I imagined it as a Sleaford Mod song, you should send it them, they could make a song about it.

The veggie pizza place by Avalon to add to the WG/Glade efforts. At lease I think it's vegetarian.

Avoid the one up just before Kasbah as well, awful.

The pizza yurt thing on the right next to the Tiny Tea Tent as you walk from Greenpeace towards Avalon? Which I realised last year is called Pizza Tabun, after about ten years of calling it 'the pizza yurt thing on the right next to the Tiny Tea Tent as you walk from Greenpeace towards Avalon' :D

(It is veggie, and they also do vegan pizza with tahini instead of cheese)

Can't remember it's name but the stall between the circus and the acoustic is pretty decent. Usually a bit of a queue/wait. But worth it.

Excellent pizzas, and they're open on Monday and Tuesday for early birds like me.

I had one of the best pizzas of my life from some woodfired place near Williams Green. Was worth the wait and getting stuck in the mud for, so many people got stuck and had to be carried out all whilst trying to save the pizza

If it is the same as 2015, the one at Williams `Green is by Ryan Chong who was on bake off a few years back.

First Glastonbury had the driest cardboardest pork baguette with the sloppiest crappiest stuffing on the stalest bread from a Hog roast stall at the other stage.

Lesson learned.

Had a similar experience near The Pyramid on the first day of 2013 also. Dryest most tasteless bacon bap I've ever had. How the fuck can you get a bacon sarnie wrong?!

The mind boggles.

There's one that does lovely stonebaked pizzas but I can't remember where it's at for the life of me. Sorry not much help I know! It could be in green futures? Smallish tent with a carpet and small benches?

Magic place, went three times. Next to the Tiny Tea Tent near Greenpeace stuff?

Don't know the name of it but been there loads. If you're in the Fluffy Rock cafe tent (best egg baps on site), and leave with your back to the railway line you can't miss the pizza place. Benches and carpets. About 7 quid for a half decent sized stonebaked pizza. They do homemade lemonade and that too.

That sounds like the place. Lovely spot for a chill.

I absolutely love pizza, so much so that I started to learn how to make different styles of dough from scratch and read up on the whole pizza culture and its history in America for ideas. The Pizza Show which can be found on youtube is a really interesting insight in to just how passionate the whole pizza scene is and will leve you fairly hungry! Frank Pinello who presents it really knows his stuff and owns 'Best Pizza' which is regarded as one of the best pizza shops. Im going to finally visit when on holiday in New York next month and cant bloody wait!

Im looking forward to seeing what Glastonbury has to offer this year. I'll most definitely be checking out some of the suggestions on here so im pleased this thread was started! If a van call 'Made of Dough' show up i highly recommend giving them a try. They were at Farr festival last year and a welcome purchase after an afternoon of boozing!

Yup, that's definitely the one. I wasn't sure at first but I recognise the separate hot drinks counter section. I'm not sure if it wasn't called something else though a few years back?

and I still can't remember exactly where it was (green futures)? but when I'm on site my glastoradar gets me there easily!:)

Shaun.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
