Tbf I'd quite like A Katy Perry headliner slot against Alt J. She's surely bigger than them and it'd also mean not the same type of music headlining the two biggest stages at the same time which I find kind of odd. They'd be a lot of crossover between the crowds for FFs and Alt J and not the best idea to stick them against one another

Made a Clashfinder including 90% of the acts on the first poster as I couldn't see any had been properly done yet. Obviously changes will need to be made and I don't expect it to be perfect but if anyone has any revisions to make id appreciate people leaving comments.

Don't mind the naysayers mate, a clashfinder is just a bit of fun at this point

So you read it then ignored it?

Does it not say alt J on Other?

Stormy other sunday

Craig David pyramid Saturday?

Declan McKenna John Peel Friday?

im genuinely not trying to be an ass, but you're saying you want to make is as accurate as possible, have said you've read the efests lineup page and still ignored it!

Anyway.... least Royal Blood are Friday!

what exactly is your point?

just because it says it on the efestivals lineup page doesn't mean it's correct. things are regularly switched on there, and numerous things that have been thought to be true have turned out to be complete bollocks.

There's no point me checking Clashfinder until Avalon and Leftfield have been announced. And Acoustic, and Caberet.

Totally agree on this. During the day I tend to be at these stages the most.

Be interesting to see who Bragg has at his daily round up's this year.

Didnt say i had read the lineup page at all actually? I said I had gathered information from on this website (i actually went to the forums for) which I had actually found far more valuable than scrolling over one page from the site to get my information. I will change things based on whats known, but theres no need to go in on someone for missing a bit of information :') Saying 'trying not to be an ass' makes me think you knew you were being an ass so just try word things better next time ^_^

Either way, cheers for making a clashfinder to spill findings and guesswork into that's separate from the commonly used one. Looks like you've got a lot of the main points down.

I hadn't thought of Thundercat headlining WH on Friday (the day and stage we assume he'll play) but it sounds like a decent idea if the act playing that slot is on the poster.

I agree, it seems odd to me to have Alt J go up against FF when there is probably a big crossover in fanbases, definitely amongst younger generations. I toyed with the idea that Alt J could sub Katy Perry on the Other but im not sure the organisers would go for that looking back on previous years.. Only time will tell and not long to go

Wow, just re-read one of my early messages! Yep came across as a twat there! Apologies for that!

No worries, looking back I was on the defensive a bit with no reason to be really aha

just wandering through Glastonbury clips on youtube and this came up. Maybe everyone else has already seen it 3000 times, but it made me laugh anyway.

Is Halvin operating clashfinder differently this year? I'd normally expect the main Glastonbury clashfinder to be fairly extensive by this time in previous years. But this year it's pretty sparse so far. Is my memory flawed or is it being run differently? :mda:

From what I remember, and I could be miles off on this - Halvin doesn't really get involved at this stage.

Basically, at this point it's a free for all, so what's on there is what people have added (and removed).

Once the official stage times drop, Halvin locks it and imports the confirmed times.

From what I remember he had one that was fairly filled out but then some idiot from Somerset Live or the Sun thought it was the real thing, and "leaked" it and some people complained about the mess which lead Halvin to deleting it and only putting in the definites as they've come up

Nope, the one that got reported as true was a user-effort, same as this year. Only difference is nobody's been arsed to fill it in this time round.

Oh right strange, I'm sure I'd seen Halvin's filled out before in full and then checked again after the whole leaked bollocks and it was empty with the little warnings that it was only guesswork at this stage. And considering it's had 121 updates I think I'm correct in saying that

Well, I know for sure last year was a user effort because I was the one that first put the warnings in after the news picked up on it. I think @Acid_Haze is the main guy that fills in guesses early on, I think he had a go earlier this year but somebody must have deleted it all since. It's definitely not Halvin though.

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
