What would you do if you got there and then The Kooks popped up from behind a bush and started playing for you?

Thank god it wasn't Razorlight

Why the second time?

I was off my tits. Saw the 1st bit of 2/3 of Swedish House Mafia. Decided they were crap so went and sat at the back of the field where the Killers were. I thought maybe I had been unfair to them 1st time as I saw them straight after Human League, Pixxie Lott and Happy Mondays. That was a tough trio to follow. I was right though, they are just a bit dull.

Razorlight are / were Shite, but they were better than the Kooks.

The Kooks are moving onto better things though.

The Killers in the New Tent in 2004 was incredible. On the Pyramid in 2005 they were good. Headlining in 2007 they were poor (the year of the wind-affected sound).

So based on that trajectory... Maybe best not?

yep the atmosphere in the tent in 2004 was sensational!

Had to look it up again... Love it when the lighting rig fails halfway through and everyone just carries on. I can't remember the last time I saw a crowd spilling out of the tent so far back, and this was long before there was a screen outside the tent down there.

What a horrible thing to choose between

Give it another 20 years and you'll be having the equivalent of the Butlin's 80s weekenders.

The Bravery, The Rasmus, Razorlight, The Caesars, The Enemy, Kooks, Plain White Tees...

    • Feels like Leeds getting axed is just a matter of time now, and to be honest, it might be the only way to save Reading. The whole twin-site format just feels proper dated and way too expensive to run nowadays. If they scrapped Leeds and focused entirely on Reading, turning it into a proper London-adjacent day-trip fest for the younger crowd like All Points East or Wireless, it would actually make sense financially. But yeah, for the old-school rock crowd, the R&L era is completely dead and buried.
    • Its the obvious  place to find savings but will Ed Miliband play along? Will Labour MP's finally accept benefits cuts? This is as damaging for Reeves as for Starmer. Its hard to see how either survives. Meanwhile Burnham is bringing up WASPI when there is no chance they'll get anything. He'll have to say something about funding defence.
    • Yeah, I managed 2 at once last year but the setup meant 1 per purchase, my partner had to do her one separately using her code   14th Primavera, bring it on!
    • I’m heading to this but need to leave on the Sat. Does anyone have any experience of getting back to the train station without the shuttle bus running? Seems like it might be tricky
    • and cut net zero of course
