Redbone in Get Out by any chance?

Bingo. You seen it?

Thought it was great (minus the constant Microsoft advertising - I guess they had to get funding somehow)

Edit: Bingo probably wasnt the best word to use for this.

Not seen it yet (possibly tomorrow) but saw an video of Jordan Peele talking about using the song. Looking forward to it! And yep it's a real shame he's almost definitely not gonna be there. Damn Star Wars.

As debut films go Peele has nailed it on the budget he had. Reputation well and truly established. I'm really pleased for him. And Daniel Kaluuya has helped himself massively also.

Anyway, back to WH. The lack of names in the frame is making me think Grace Jones is becoming a bigger and bigger possibility.

Names still in the frame, then:

Hacienda Classical

Jamiroquai

Chic

Grace Jones......?

Chance The Rapper.....?

Duran Duran....?

Erasure.......?

Why does jamiroquai keep getting mentioned? Does anyone actually still listen to them?! I thought people had come to their senses by now!

Despite Neil's pretty convincing info - I've run the numbers on my pocket calculator and I've still got good vibes about Kraftwerk turning up.

Until proof otherwise, I am also still on the Kraftwerk Sunday night hype train.

Mainly because I refuse to acknowledge Jamiroquai. At all. Let alone as anything other than mid-Pyramid fodder.

Thats shitty about Marley they must have just been posted as there was a perfect glastonbury gap last week :(

Is Marley a no go now then? Damn. Was really hoping they had got him this year.

Could DJ Shadow headline?

Perhaps on the petite side side but if we've a lack of names then maybe he's hiding in plain sight. Same with Soulwax I guess.

Would be surprised if yer Erasire dream came off. Chance has US dates the weekends before and after and I feel that Jamiroquai and Chic are for the big stage.

What about Tribe tho? Really wish Bjork was more likely too.

headliners and touted potential headliners across 3 main stages mostly dudes at the mo, reckon we'll see one of Grace Jones or Bjork topping WH - unless i've missed some info firmly scuppering chances of either

While a mixture is preferable for sure, last year and 2015's headliners = dudefest.

True, though there has been at least 1 woman or female-fronted act headlining at least 1 one of the 4 main stages since...2010?

guess it's a 'hope' more than a 'reckon' :)

I still think Bonobo will step up to headline.

Subbed last time he played. Sold out Brixton, Manchester Academy and Leeds academy in minutes on latest tour. Added a second night at Brixton which sold out (not as quickly as the other night, granted). Adds up to me.

Where do we stand on Justice these days? Are they a possibility for WH?

I think Neil had info for them on the Other stage.

Personally I'd have thought they'd be WH or JP but I'm just a lowly punter.

I'm still after justice for George Davis, still convinced of his innocence after that cricket pitch thing.

The other robberies he was convicted for after his release don't change a thing.

Ah yeah, forgot about that. I also think JP/WH makes more sense but I'm happy to put faith in Neil's info.

I can see this happening too. Too big for Park headliner these days and I've been predicting him to headline JP but WH seems like a better fit.

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
