Saturday Pyramid Sub

Clashfinder is bullshit - people still hoping for Radiohead to do it. Realistically it's Disclosure in that slot.

This.

There may well be a special guest on the Pyramid at some point - but whoever is updating that clashfinder has less idea about the schedule than most of us here.

While I have info that LCD are headlining the other on Friday, there's also been rumours that would be Disclosure.

So while you're probably right, you might not be.

Holding on to that Disclosure Friday/LCD Sunday dream!

Loaded are saying that Disclosure are on the Other, presumably Friday night? But then Neil has info on LCD Soundsystem on the Other Friday night, so I'm not too sure if it is so clear is Disclosure subbing the Saturday, although it probably would make sense currently looking at the lineup and others on it being confirmed elsewhere over the weekend who you would imagine might take it. Unless they are yet to be announced........

I know enough to not entirely write-off what Loaded have published there.

However, it might be the case that Disclosure were originally pencilled in for Other headline, but as the line-up progressed it was decided to put them on th4e Pyramid.

I strongly lean towards them being on the Pyramid, but as I say I'm not ready to say that Loaded are wrong about this.

The only dampener on Loaded's three Other headliners is that it leaves LCD totally up in the air, and they more than any of the other acts seem like a definite Other headliner - Disclosure, NO and BMTH could all fit in elsewhere on the lineup. If they'd have said Disclosure, NO and LCD were the headliners I'd be 100% behind it, but what they've states just seems off and possibly outdated, and if any of those four acts was gonna sub Adele instead then it's definitely Disclosure

It's a funny one.  I could see Disclosure being either Pyramid sub or Other headliner, but I couldn't imagine LCD doing a Pyramid sub.  You would think Disclosure makes the most sense, but history shows that for whatever reason, odd placements happen every year, E.g. Blondie on second and Jake Bugg headlining Other.

I agree. Out of the 4 acts in line for the other headline slot, Disclosure are the most logical subs.

And 2014 was just a weird weird festival. Jake bugg heading other. The blondie placement. Disclosure and Bryan Ferry on west holts. MGMT deemed big enough to headline the JP (dont get me wrong i like me some MGMT, but after album 3 flopped somewhat i was surprised at their billing). Ed Sheeran modestly Third from top Pyramid. I imagine GHQ were worried about overcrowding around the site due to Metallicas pyramid slot so purposefully made things a bit weird that night.

Is it not a bit weird that we still have no information on this slot though? You lot are placing Disclosure there as an educated guess, but as far as I'm aware no one has come out and said 'yeah Disclosure are subbing'. We've seen info for all of the major slots (Pyramid head + sub, Other head + sub) but nothing has leaked out regarding the Saturday sub.

Makes me think what Neil said about info being more scarce with foreign bands. Could it be Tame Impala? Just throwing it out there, not saying that's my prediction or anything.

Disclosure have said something about it being their biggest ever show.

That says Pyramid to me, cos I reckon they'd rate their show at Wild Life last year as bigger than headlining the Other, &/or them coheadlining R/L as their biggest - tho that's my take on it,. and that might be wrong.

only because in previous years the initial poster has made it pretty easy to identify where the Pyramid headliners and subs are (all gathered together at the top of the poster). if we did that this year then our subs would be Foals, Beck and LCD which obviously isn't right, so we've had to assume that Disclosure and Ellie, who are for some reason lower on the poster, are the subs. obviously there's been no info putting them there, but it makes more sense than most other options

I thought the biggest ever show comment was referring to their stage show? Not the biggest slot they've ever played?

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
