Weather 2016

What was the name of the guy who posted weather forecast videos in the run up to the festival? The one who always said: "The festival starts on Friday, but I know a lot of you like to turn up a few days before to get settled and soak up the atmosphere..." before he got down to business. So cute - I miss him. Hope he posts again this year.

J10 (used to be Jackone) from the Netweather Forum has been the saviour.

The weather is going to be fantastic and I refuse to believe anything else! I have no proof of this, just my own belief lol

You need to come to NFR NFC, you are a believer, even though you don't know it.

He's also great, but the guy who posted video updates every day explained things a at a level which was much easier to understand, while showing the various weather charts. He was awesome. I'll do some research and report back.

They're both utterly insane.

Can't believe anything until the Norwegians come into range then it's game on!

The Norwegians are key! Extremely reliable. Get them onside & hopes will be high for the right result

So what are your thoughts about the Glastonbury festival 2016, will it be a washout or a heatwave, or as is often the case a mixture of the two, often on the same day.

This year the blogs will start this weekend

In the short term it looks like turning cooler from the North with high pressure centred to the west of the UK. Still too far out to know how things will shape up for the festival.

Yeah doesn't look too good. Rain forecast now.

I wouldn't worry - it's miles away and anyone claiming to know what the weather will be like in a months time is talking complete rubbish. For example all the runs from one model for the SW of England in graphical format:

http://meteociel.fr/cartes_obs/gens_display.php?x=225&y=165&run=0&runpara=0&type=1&ext=1

They show surface pressure and precipitation from 20 runs. You can see by the 9th of June it's pretty much anyones guess what the conditions will be like.
