Is strummerville moving

Just found this which reads like they're moving for 2016, thought it was quite good up in the woods at the very back of the site?

We’re very pleased to announce that we’ll be camped in our new area ‘Strummerville in the Spinney’ for Glastonbury Festival 2016.

Strummerville in the Spinney is a magical new area in between the Stone Circle field and The Park with our backs against the wall. It is a truly beautiful spot which includes a fine piece of enchanting Glastonbury woodland. Arguably we have bagged the best view on site (we are biased of course).

The usual shenanigans will take place with special guests and emerging artists performing on stage. There will be DJs, workshops, steel pans, gongs, yoga (maybe), face paint, Piccalilli Cafe, BOOM Burger, the Strummerville cafe (aka the pink shed), merchandise, a BAR and of course the campfire.

More info to follow but for now, Glastonbury 2016 will take place from Wednesday, 22nd June to Sunday, 26th June 2016.

That describes exactly where it was last year!

Exactly, thats what I thought.  Even their description "backs against the wall" puts them exactly where they were in the woodland bit.

Must be the same spot. A big improvement on the previous location in 2014 opposite Glasto Latino but still not ideal with the steep climb up.

It was virtually on top of Pennard Gate last year. Great spot

i hope they put steps up to it ....lovely when your up there up its a hard slog up that hill ......only joking about the steps btw ...ill just use the new ski lift lol

They might have the new monorail stop sorted this year.

Aside from having a nice chat to a man who told me was due to play at strummerville, was a bit lost around the railway and was already 45 minutes late for his spot, i never got close to there last year, though the Frank Turner set had me tempted.

No view in the wooded area with the bar and stage, but a cracking view from just outside by the entrance to Worthy View.

 I had a little 10 minute "recovery" sit down after scaling the hill up to it

I liked its new location- when it's hot and sunny, it's actually quite cool and shaded up there (once you've recovered from the hike up the hill!). Became quite crap in the mud and rain though.

Just had an email from the Strummerville Foundation. The say they are definitely in the same location this year as last.

I only made it up once last year but really liked the location, I intend on spending more time there this year but that will probably go out the window once something distracts me
