Nah after the 2013 shows I said I wouldn't pay to see them again as all the new material sucks and takes up half the set. Made an exception for the Psycho tour and then saw them for free at Big Weekend and the MEN last month (brother bought me a ticket). Before the MEN gig I was borderline on whether I'd miss them at Glasto and after the gig I decided I'm happy to do so.

Lies Will, you know its all lies.

Everyone will be at Foals anyway, with Muse coming up next. No one is going anywhere, no matter what anyone on here may try to post/tell themselves.

Sounds like a shit version of this. To think people on this forum actually think Muse are better than Depeche Mode. They are just a Fisher Price version.

You usually talk sense mate. You must be tired or something. Them 2nd order differential equations must have fried your circuitry.

I know this is not the thread as there is already a Depeche V Muse thread. Yet Depeche being a singles band is not a claim I had ever heard before. You could argue New Order were a singles band, yet I don't think that is something you could accuse Depeche of being.

This new Muse song sounds very Depeche lite. They have done a few now that ape Depeche. Whats the big one they did that rips off Enjoy The Silence?

    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
