I'm pretty sure the info has only said that it's moving and nothing to do with it being bigger or anything like that

Does it need to be bigger anyway? It's only ever full for a handful of flavour of the month acts every year. And never ever for headliners

I suppose it's not impossible that the West Holts bookers have had Sigur Ros forced upon them, but it's not a great precedent for the stage vibe to keep getting diluted with unsuitable acts.

So i'm a few years behind on Sigur Ros; Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust was the last album I listened to from them. Can anyone give me a starting point for Valtari and Kveikur?

i really struggled with Valtari personally and it hasn't had many listens from me - remember it being incredibly downbeat, even by Sigur Ros' standards. maybe i need to give it another go

Kveikur i thought was brilliant. the songs had more of a conventional pop song structure to them but are still incredibly atmospheric

New Order tend to be a lot more 'dancey' live - they play remixes/altered versions of quite a few of their tunes, so they should work well in the dark i think.

Sigur ros is just a more interesting booking and haven't played since 2003 when they were excellent.

New order played more recently and were crap.

There is more chance of sigur ros putting on a legendary set than new order.

But I'm sure New order might be quite good

Do we think Sigur Ros could fit into the act to "bliss out with" on West Holts that they announced on their Facebook page? Feel like that description fits them more so than any other act on the bill.

Except for the specific 'one to gawp at' comment, it didn't sound like they were referencing any acts in particular, more just the types of acts they had. Didn't even specify headliners. I think you're reading a bit too much into that comment.

I'm not entirely sure how to describe the noise I let out when I saw them on the line-up but it was loud. Hopefully we can find out where/when they're playing soon, an LCD clash would be a disaster

For some reason Sigur Ros was the first name I saw on the lineup. And I did a little bit of a sex wee as a result. I thought the 2 shows already announced was it, and I wasn't expecting them to be on the bill at all.

They will be a massive must see for me as I have never seen them. Looking forward to it already!

Great to see them as wasn't expecting them to be playing.

surely they will be headlining somewhere, their set needs to be in darkness for the visuals to work. Remember they were very unhappy with their Bestival set in 2012 because they thought it would be dark when they were playing.
