pyramid sub crowds tend to be pretty huge anyway, and there's tons of stuff on the other stages to take people away from the Pyramid, whereas earlier the pull from other stages is less so. Not that Radiohead would pull a particularly mental crowd, but sub would probably be the safest option

I still find it pretty hard to believe and can't really get excited until I see some proof of it possibly happening...

Yeah I'd sort of rather they didn't play at all then played a short set subbing Adele. I'd rather keep the dream alive for a proper, career spanning headline show in 2017, the sort we will have been waiting for for fourteen years and had to endure three Coldplay headline performances in the intervening period. 

Also, given there was a lot of "four headliners" talk a few years ago when (was it Coldplay?) were almost the fourth headliner, why isn't there any four headliners talk this year? I've seen some festivals do this sort of thing before, but they've billed it as joint headliners. 

Also haven't they specifically moved their Secret Solstice gig indoors, despite not everyone at the festival being able to attend? Because of the light outside? It makes no sense they'd actively choose to play Glasto as subs when its light out...

Well of course they would....they are a tout. Small intimate your or not......just those 3 dates in the biggest ticket selling city in the UK for obvious reasons was utterly stupid. They should be selling tickets where both people need ID when they are purchased.

The info is a little tenuous - it certainly can't be fully trusted by itself - but there's still reason to think that it might be genuine and accurate. Then again, it might just be someone stringing along his mates, perhaps even using what's said on here as the basis of what he says.

All the same, it's the first bit of supposedly confirming info, and from the direction of someone who there's reason to think might know the real deal.

 

Is it?, you have already relayed a source of them playing which you believed to be from a reliable person, it was never mentioned in a headline sense.

Not that I think it would happen but I'd say that if they're playing the Pyramid and not headlining then anything is possible. Being directly before Adele certainly wouldn't ease overcrowding fears.

From what I can gather, the news from this is that Neil had other sources saying Radiohead were not on the bill (either indicating they weren't playing, or a secret set), but this source is saying they actually are.

Are the current Other headliners 100% headlining? I could certainly see New Order, BMTH, maybe even LCD taking a step down, and I reckon it's more plausible that Radiohead would headline there than play before Adele on the pyramid. Put them on against her and crowds should be pretty split, draws away the casuals who'd moan at a current Radiohead set as well.

All three would certainly fit the bill as an 'upbeat sub' along side Adele

Why would I have a meltdown?......the header I wanted has been announced...I never had an issue with Radiohead playing a different set lol
