The best songs from Hail to the thief and In rainbows, throw in the classics, you have yourself a fresh headline set that stands alone from '97 and '03

Oh Spindles, could you imagine...?

I am struggling to think of any other proposal that would be likely to make me 'have' to be at the Pyramid for a headline set, given the sort of bands that could, realistically, be booked as headliners. For pretty much any other contender, I am pretty sure that another band, playing elsewhere at the festival, would likely trump the Pyramid offering.

Agreed.  They would be unmissable for me.  The KOL set was nice (my grin when 15 step started has still not quite faded) but I want to see them in the dark, with the lights and a crowd who don't start leaving during the first song.

As most are probably thinking, if it's not going to happen this year it just isn't going to. Neil doesn't sound confident and tbh I don't think Thom is bothered. 1997 and 2003 are his staple years to say it's been done. I personally want Muse way more and I'm not greatly bothered about them but a mate would cry.

I used to love Muse, I really did. Up to Absolution they were, for me, just such an exciting, biting prospect. Given what has, in general, come from them thereafter, and looking at the setlists from the last few years (my last time was a reasonably enjoyable, if actually a bit crap Emirates gig on T2L tour), I find it almost inconceivable that anyone who likes Muse would want to see them more than Radiohead!

Different strokes.

That's fair enough but then for me, Primavera has about 5 acts max that I'd bother with whether defo want to see or might as well as I'm there. Radiohead I find dull, slow and boring whereas Muse at least play some good stuff in the 2nd part of their show.

Might just make a playlist of this and listen to it in the Stone Circle while Adele is on.

Ive reslised that HTTT is grossly under represented in mine. Wouldnt mind some Where i end you begin, punchup at a wedding or Go to sleep in there.

It's one of my least favourite albums by them so I'm not sure I'd have any from there, shocking I know. Maybe There There or 2+2=5 as crowd pleasers. Pyramid Song was the main noticeable absence for me, and Creep.............. ;)

Thom's edited HTTT tracklist leaving out Punchup at a Wedding still grinds my gears. my favourite song from that album
