Couldn't someone just bag you a CV ticket who has already secured a ticket once they go on sale ? I'm sure you could find someone willing to meet you in the CV fields to show their ID should they actually do the name check thingy if you fail to blag it.

Edit - Provided you reimburse them the tenner should you not get an entry ticket and they have to return it.

the problem with that is everything about teaming up to enter, because of the CV tickets being different for next year.

If there's anyone who will be campervan arriving at around 8am Tuesday who fancies the hassle of doing that, please give me a shout.

What's different about them next year?

I aim to get there about 11am Neil. I didn't think you could get in till noon?

the first fields were full before 10am this year. I was smoking my first of the day long before noon.

I saw that the fields where I usually go were full. Didn't realise they opened up that early though...just assumed that the stewards were being ruthlessly efficient!!

fair dos but you can make tents quite cosy. Big tent, big air bed, lots of blankets, pillows, bucket in the corner.....it's not that bad.

I know Russy I've done it for 30 years.  Just can't face the hassle anymore, after 30 years of going one year off won't kill me.  :no2:

Neil, we'll be around Tuesday early doors if needed.  Let me know if we can help - we'll be CV East.

Hi Neil, just a thought, but would you consider staying just off site at Ashcombe Field? We can't do the tent thing either and staying there made it possible to go this year with tickets from the secret resale with no hope of cv tickets. It's on west side so a fair walk to the T and C fields, but not too bad for John Peel/Other Stage. And it has proper toilets too.

Please could you post the reply to this if/when you get one?

So sorry you didn't get tickets yesterday.

Mr Tickets tells me "My strong belief is that all campervan passes will be sold before April.". :(

I've got a few offers from peeps offering to buy a CV ticket in a week or two, so I'll mull over what's the best option that works well for both them and me and get back to them.

Thanks again to those who've offered to help.

    • What is too old for Leeds Fest now ?  I'm going to the Fontaines Saturday in a few weeks at 54 !!!  I may be the oldest there 🙂    Wythenshawe may be an option for WA.
    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
    • I would be all over Wolf Alice but may have outgrown this venue.    Also have to consider the schedule they have been on this year so may be on a break.  This last 10 days alone they did Tramlines, New York, Chicago and Kendal Calling.  Although make hay while the sun shines may come into play.
