just seen that new order are playing in manchester of the 9th of july. With them playing bilbao bbk too, does that rule them out of nos alive ? !

Dont think so, think we share quite a few acts already if I'm not mistaken. (I've looked at many festival line ups lately and could be wrong)

On another note, does anyone know what the score is with rock in rio lisboa, ie if someone gets announced for that does it rule them out of NOS?? Old Bruceys been announced there (Springstein not Forsyth)

This is getting ridiculous now! The line up is unreal how have they managed to bag Arcade Fire when they are inactive!

Been twice in the last 4 years and now am seriously tempted to go back

I cant' fathom how a festival that's charging less than a hundred quid for 3 days can knock out a line up like this, unless it's at the sponsors request to go out and get the best line up they can and they'll weigh in with the cash for it.

There is a rumour running in some spanish forums that Arcade Fire will be announced next week for NOS Alive and BBK Live... Let's see if that info is reliable...

That info, that finally became reliable, was taken last week from a spanish forum, where a girl made the biggest spoiler ever about spanish festivals. She gave loads of info that day by day is becoming real... Unbeliveable but true.

Right, seriously considering this as an alternative to Primavera.

Just need some info:

How much is beer, what beer is it and how long are the queues on average?

Can you get near the front of stages easily?

What time does the music run from and till?

Any kind of dance tent/DJ area type stuff?

Whats it like for clashes?

whats the situation with getting to and from the site from say, central Lisbon?

Cheers

you can look on the website for last years times and lineup .... there is a dj/dance tent ..music goes up to around 4-5 I believe

beer was cheap if I can remember ..I think it was either 2.50 or 3 euros and queues were not bad

the 2nd stage tent can get very busy especially later on at night, I couldn't get in for The Kills a few years back

Barely any queues for beer though and the beer is heinieken they also had strongbow on tap and desperados. Think it was 3.50  euro a pint so not bad at all. You can easily get s good spot towards the front without having to stand there all day just arrive during changeover.

THe clashes between the main stage and tent will be horrific with this strong a line up, early in the afternoon you can walk from tent to stage in literally 2/3 minutes but during SUbs and headliners it can get very congested as the main toilets are in between, there is s path/road that goes round the back which is quicker though.

as I recall festival acts started at about 5pm headliners around midnight main stage done by 1-30am ish main tent went on until about 3am and dance tent which is small but busy (in the evening) finished at 4am

very easy to get back to Lisbon - Cais de Sodre is the station you want to get back to fit central Lisbon and they lay trains on every half hour until 3/4 am follow the crowds to the station.

Fucking hell - Went last year and had a great time but with having Glastonbury tickets, wasnt planning on an international festival until Arcade Fire was announced. Amazing lineup so far!

Frantically looking for flights and hotels as we speak. Going to be a great few weeks but tough on the old liver. Also need to find a dog sitter!

not sure what to do about flights for this festival, we booked our ticket and camping last week when radiohead were announced. This line up is seriously too good to be true! but back to flight they increased twice in the same day, but I'm right in the middle of my exam period with a tough one coming up tomorrow and don't really fancy sorting flights out today. Anyone think the prices will rocket or will they come back down at some point?

Cheers!
