Foals

Recommended Posts

Why is it that Rod Stewart plays stadiums while Everything Everything are the support act for a short Foals arena tour. No justice in the world.

Bit of a legend though Rod, my boss is going to the KC to see him, about £100 a ticket!!!

Are they too big to play reading now?

No! As they said in various interviews this year they would love to headline reading as they used to go to the festival as youngsters and love playing at reading. Plus it one of the famous british festival so I am going to say no one is to big to play reading.

Foals should sub they are selling on a similar level to Vampire Weekend tickets did on the arena tour prior to 2014.

They actually seem to be selling better (most of standing and cheap seating sold) after a couple of hours than VW's did after months. Not that I think it does come down to how many tickets they sell in comparison, it's just an odd thing to lie about.

Vampire Weekend sold standing and cheap seats out quickly eh

End of the day if your headline status in that genre of music you should be selling out standing almost instantly due to demand. Headlining Leeds, can't sell out standing at Leeds FDA quickly ain't right.

Could still be glasto.

I hope so. or the rest of the line up is decent at Reading/Leeds

I can't myself see it being anywhere else than Reading even if it is ludicrous. It won't be Glasto and BST wouldn't be close to taking a chance on them. I think they have two larger sized head acts to compensate it but this is a booking that will definitely be the effect of selling ticket prices for days at least lower. My best bet would be FF and Muse, I've seen Kanye banded about but they can't risk him on a possible Foals year, it would end Leeds.

    • I've no issue with them making money either. However, one does have to wonder whether it aligns with the festival's green sustainability ethos - even if they are using fairtrade cotton.
    • Does anyone else think that Glastonbury could do with an onsite 'spoons?   (ducks head)
    • I'm sure us oldies tried to warn that this was inevitably the end consequence of digitisation.
    • A bit miffed that I thought a fallow year T was £25 but then progress through the system and it's an additional penny shy of six quid for postage.
