Tell me more about this ios10 thing? Can you set it for a single contact in your email app?

Not sure, haven't tried it so I don't know that it would work for emails. Maybe test it out by adding a contact and making them email you and see if it works? It's only set for 'ringtone' and 'text tone' atm so not sure what would happen, sorry!

The first guy that dropped a hint that it would be on friday (if you're reading this: sorry, I'm terrible with names), didn't he say something about 2pm?

Thought he said he didn't know the time, just that it was Friday?

No worries. Thanks anyway.:)

SEE are all down the pub drawing straws to see who pushes the button to set it all off.

Haha, if they pull their finger out they can get the tickets live and sold within 2 minutes and probably get them printed and in today's post!

See is merely the ticket broker for Glastonbury right? They are not the promoter are they? Like, Coachella is promoted/put on by Goldenvoice but they use Festival Ticketing.

Just curious whether it's the Glastonbury team or See who's really in charge of this.

He posted a screenshot of a text that said likely after 2pm.

Bugger - we could probably all guess that based on previous timings - I'm going to have to go for a leak...

I'm just trying for 2 - the husband and me. He's currently away on exercise with the army so I'm trying to get them as a surprise for him, as we both failed in the main sale and he failed in the resale (I was on a plane with no option to buy wifi or I'd have been trying too!)

So what time does everything think it will be? (Exact time guesses only, winner or closest will receive a prize!*)
I'm going with 15:47

*Prize is only the satisfaction of correctly guessing.

I'm sticking with my 2.30pm prediction. I've served my daily customer and the boss has buggered off so will be glued to the laptop!

    • Sam Fender, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter is a very bland set of headliners. Commercially successful and makes plenty of sense, but it wouldn't be very inspirising. That said I want a band like Green Day to headline so who am I to say what exciting is.
    • Potentially rogue shout here but could see Rebecca Black in the running for a mid-afternoon spot. I know most people still remember her for Friday but lately she’s been putting out a lot of fun pop bangers, think this could be a very fun booking!
    • FFS why when there are pull outs does it always include so many of the names I had as must sees!
    • This is a pretty petulant stance.   I oppose him headlining because I love coming to Slam Dunk and he would be a very big reason why I wouldn't come. That doesn't mean they can't choose to do so, they obviously can, I would just stop coming to that version of Slam Dunk.   Another name that I'll throw out there as name I'd love is Biffy Clyro.
    • There is possibly a weak link in the ticket buying system, no matter how clever the technical controls get. I just spent 20 minutes this morning hammering the ‘Buy Tickets’ button while the web page kept telling me there weren’t enough tickets remaining to meet my request. Eventually it changed its mind and let me buy two tickets. Most likely because of failed payments in the queue ahead of me. So - just like it did in the good old F5 days - pig-headed blind persistence can sometimes pay off.   BTW, the tickets were for the Whispering Bob Harris evening in the Albert Hall on 2nd December.
