I'm still so shocked when people on the successful thread talk about getting over 30 tickets for there group. I only ever buy 2 and thats a struggle! How is that possible!

Lots and lots of people all trying who are familiar with the ticket process and what you have to do to increase your chances. One of my mates always seems to sort out tickets for 20 people like this. My problem is that the people I go with load the page up and see the holding page and go and make themselves a cup of tea and their breakfast (usually hungover from Sat night).

*Looks into getting a HGV license*

We've managed 42 for the last four years, we have a really rigid system in place that you have to commit to pretty much by signature. I'd have everyone sign it in blood if it was up to me haha.

I guess if there's 7 groups of 6 people trying for 6 people, that should be fairly solid - then if anyone within a group gets additional external help they get if for all 6.  And then at resale ye have 42 people trying for 6 if one group fails - sounds awesome!

Seems to be a lot of people trying for 1s and 2s. I'm on for 2. Worth remembering too that any guest may be a member or another person in the same set of tickets as a member - I can vouch for one of them being my second!

I reckon anyone paying attention and reacting reasonably quickly should be successful. ...hopefully.... can I blink yet?

We have a very similar system. Ended up getting 12 groups of 6 in October this year. A new record for us.

So 127 members here frantically waiting for resale and there's 32,000 members on Glasto Chat and the resale threads there are getting a lot of interest.

It's going to be a bun-fight - and a very short one....

Thank god I panicked and got my ticket in the coach resale rather than waiting for main resale so I could take the camper van - I just need 2 for people I work with in this one.

Happy Birthday for yesterday! Its mine tomorrow, the outcome, if the resale is today, will either make or break the day for me. Wish is wasnt so close to an emotionally draining resale event!

Happy birthday for tomorrow! Here's hoping for the best early / belated pressie for both of us!

I honestly have no idea how many try in our group set up but we got 38 tickets this year which was all we had on the list. I reckon it might have been well over 100 trying.

Wow, i guess i need more friends

Exactly that! Group A tries for themselves, then when they get theirs, they try for group B and so on... The thing that knackered us this year was one registration not working for a group, and by the time we'd fished it out the sale had finished. There's a core army of around 12 trying to go for these last two now.

I'm after 3 tickets, one of which is for myself.  6 of us were trying in the main sale to no avail and then 3 of us tried in the resale (the other 3 had since changed their minds) and we were unsuccessful even though my mate got through to payment page before being thrown out.  I suspect there are a lot more than 120 efesters who are after tickets today.  Good luck to all, it'll be nice to get it all done and dusted (whatever the result) so we can get on with our lives!!

don't know if it's been mentioned before but on iPhones (iOS 10) you can edit the ringtone of certain contacts to 'emergency bypass' meaning that you can turn your phone to do not disturb mode but for that one contact it will bypass this and the ringtone alert will go off - if your phone pings you know it could only be one thing! Has saved me from panicking about emails and text message alerts that I don't care about - plus I'm in work so I have my phone turned to silent anyway. If I get a ping I will definitely be excusing myself

Tell me more about this ios10 thing? Can you set it for a single contact in your email app?

On and seeing as we're all doing this, I'm trying for 4. Myself, my husband, and his sister, as well as a friend's friend to bulk out the numbers. If we're successful, we have a second group of 4 that I've been vaguely taking responsibility for.
