Where are Franz & Sparks gonna play?!!?

No mention of band for todd terje so that one's still massively up in the air. I reckon Sonic.

Buzzcocks or Motorhead (how do you do umlauts?) would also be great in that slot.

The Stranglers were just bloody brilliant on that stage a few years ago (though a different (middayish) slot iirc). Something like 14 top ten hits in an hour. A proper festival set.

You can kind of guess my age from this I guess :)

Loved that set :) Believe it was 2010 as it was roasting.

Much as I dont think itd happen I think itd be a good idea to put motorhead on the `almost indoor` john peel stage in the tent....headlining one night id say. Just because that kind of intense high energy rock n roll is not exactly suited to a sparse pyramid field in the midday sunshine......theres a reason the best heavy gigs are always at indoor venues, just creates the right sort of vibe

You have a point... they'd probably be the oldest band ever to play the 'new bands' tent though wouldn't they?

theyd destroy the place though itd be a legendary set, when the sun had gone down, almost inside, crowd packed in tight.......itd be much like a motorhead gig in fact! :)

they should play the Pyramid to wake up the all-dayers, then another set somewhere in shangri-la late at night.

    • Hot on the heels of outdoor gig number 1, the second arrived quickly! Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in Malahide last night (lovely sunny evening for it!). As usual, fantastic gig (ebbed and flowed from tender to feral). Since they aren't touring an album it was very different to the Wild God shows from last year, with a bunch of tracks that hadn't been played in a good while wheeled out. Highlights for me were a blistering rendition of Hiding All Away (that merged into the end of White Elephant) and a touching interpretation of A Rainy Night in Soho to close the set (well after curfew!). @Superscally, still nothing from Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! (they really must not like that album!)
    • I’m putting the 2026 code and it’s not applying the discount. Does somebody know why?
    • I think I’ve asked this before, but do we know why this is a ‘never happen’ one? I understand with Queen and Duran Duran, but I’ve never seen anything written saying one way or another if they’d do it. Would be an incredible get.
    • Here we goooo!   I never thought I'd say this at Prima Porto, famous for its rainy weather... I wish it'd be a bit colder ;D
    • I saw an interview the other day with Simon and he was asked about Glastonbury legends spot and he did say they consider themselves headliners and also said something like "The legends slot is a kind of headline slot" The actual wording might be slightly different but it gave an indication that maybe?
