My daugher was born in March 2013 and I was very glad that I decided not to go. I went last year, but I'm sitting this one out because it was too much time to have away from my family in one go.

Is this your first child? I think you may be underestimating the amount of work a very young baby can be, even at three months old. It's an incredibly personal thing, but I imagine that come the festival date, the last place you'd want to be is away from your child watching bands.

I don't want to go on, it's been a very emotional subject for me, so I'm probably coming over very sanctimonious. Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss in any more depth.

The bottom line is - don't go. Cash in your ticket. You won't regret it. Glastonbury is on next year. This child is only going to be born once

I'd originally mis-read your post as saying the festival was 2 weeks after the birth, a situation that was more cut+dried. All I can say is that I chose not to go and didn't regret the decision. I don't think you should do it, but I'm just a stranger on the Internet, albeit one who was in a similar situation a couple of years ago.

Jeffie was asking for my opinion, because he knows my situation was similar.

Thanks so much for your reply. I know I shouldnt go

paid line off at 09:01 on Wednesday.

as much as I am absolutely desperate for the line up it had no baring at all on when I was going to pay.

even if the line up came out first and it was a pile of shite I'd still have paid and be in the car park at midnight Tuesday 23rd June, beer in hand waiting to get into site!

Aside from my first Glasto never been too fussed about the line up announcement

Tend to hang out at the smaller stages whose line ups don't get announced until a few weeks before the festival, or in some cases you don't know the line up until you get the programme at the gate

Equally you can take an educated guess of who will be there by looking whose got albums and singles out this year; regulars who are there each year or hints from online forums like this one

Paid my balance last night. Alway great to get the confirmation email saying your going to Glastonbury. One year I'm going to miss out and can guarantee I'll be gutted not to be going even if I don't like the headliners

Paid mine at around 09:20 on Wednesday. Would have done it 19 minutes earlier if was typing in the right web address.

I've been fortunate enough to have been to the festival on five previous occasions and there's never been the perfect lineup for my particular music taste. I doubt there ever will be but it's always the best five days of the year and I would happily pay double every October in order to secure a ticket, lineup or no lineup

No we've paid up... We just have the waits for:

○ Line Up

○ clashfinder

○ map

○ the full line up

○ tickets to be printed

○ tickets to be despatched

○ tickets in hand

weather watch and country file...

Why did that last one get me the most excited? Bah I might not even be going :crying:

of the 15 I know who secured tickets in October only 7 have paid up. For various reasons the others are not. That is unusual for our lot but 4 of the drop outs can't go due to unavoidable circumstances and are quite gutted about the whole thing.

Paid but didn't add car park ticket. Do you think I can get one added to my order? Just tried calling but taking ages to get through and at 10p per min, I might aswell just pay the £7.50 postage/packaging fee lol.

I've heard you can get them on the day, but please verify that.

Same here. I don't know why I left it so late. There's five of us that still need tickets. I think that's part of the reason I'm not as excited. I don't fancy going with just the two of us. I hope we all get lucky in the resale.
