Enjoyed the previous times I have been so much that it wasn't a decision I had to think about. The fact that I happen to be a big Foo Fighters fan was a bonus though :)

I can kind of understand first timers being a bit annoyed though... the lineup is important to a lot of people who only know the festival from what they have watched on T.V/Youtube

Trust me, any first timer who has any good experience of festivals will have done enough reading/research not to need to be over-influenced by the line-up.

We're (and I am one of them!) just beyond excited. We're unlikely ever to have been to anything this big. Not to be able to find huge amounts of stuff to love on a line-up this big means one of several things:

1. you're actually dead

2. you don't actually like music/festivals very much

3. you're actually not trying very hard, now are you?

or a combo of any of the above.

What seems to be going wrong, zero?

Can the collective forum help?

Ben

It keeps bouncing back at me, saying my details are incorrect. I've checked and my deposit is there and everything. The bloke on the phone at Seetickets is flummoxed also...

Thanks for the offer of help though, always appreciated :)

Clearly not a postcode issue by the sounds of things?

The bloke at See would know that straight away I suppose.

Maybe the system is knackered after a heavy day's use!

Waiting for one more person to transfer the money to me then will probably do it at some point over Easter.

The line-up, or lack of so far, has absolutely nothing to do with paying up or not - for us anyway. I have complete confidence that the Eavii will put on an amazing weekend for us all - whether that's the bands playing on the "main stages" or the umpteenth other things that I've still not got round to doing in a decade of going to the festival.

Thankfully it's all been sorted now, but I had to get the Seetickets bloke to do it, though he wasn't sure what the issue was himself. Crisis averted!

I've paid up and never considered anything but paying up

I would be absolutely gutted if all 3 headliners on the Pyramid were bands I was desperate to see as that would mean I'd see nothing anywhere else - wouldn't that be aweful

More than happy to see no-one on the Pyramid and I know I'd still have an amazing time - so headliners have no bearing whatsoever on me paying

Exactly my view!

I only get to go to one festival a year, but I have been to one annually for many years.

I choose the festival on the basis of when it fits in best with other stuff in life (family, work etc.).

I buy my ticket very early, knowing that line-up will not influence my desire to go.

I have never waited until seeing the line-ups for the few festivas I go to, to decide which one gets my money that year.

This is my first Glastonbury. I decided to try for a ticket last summer and was lucky (read: extremely skilful) in the sale.

It would never occur to me not to go on the basis of the line-up, particularly the headliners. I expect to be interested in watching none of the Pyramid, and likely none of the Other headliners.

I want to go to festivals with people who love music and all that festivals like Glastonbury offer, but who would never be influenced significantly by line up.

I've just paid for my first ever Glastonbury ticket. CAN. NOT. WAIT.

Nothing 'silly' but easy to do, like copying an additional 'space' at the end of your Reg No. before pasting into the Payment page? Or space/no space between first and second group of three postcode characters?

Apologies if these are f***ing stupid, obvious ideas, and annoying when 'don't you think I've already tried those, moron?'.

Just don't want to see an eFester in strife...:(

Paid mine this morning. I probably won't like the third headliner or about 90% of the acts that would be put up on a mini-line up announcement so waiting for it would be pointless.

I have a couple of friends waiting for the line up because they can't financially justify going if it's not great. They've been before, know the score and I respect their decision.

All paid up, as is everyone I know who is going. No interest at all in the Foos or Kanye but am 100% confident there will be something (more than likely numerous things - all clashing!) on West Holts, The Park, Avalon, Acoustic or Cabaret Tent that I want to see.

Cannot wait - it will be epic, as always.

All paid up at 0905 today for 5 tickets

Not bothered about the line up - our 10th Glasto and the 1st that we've been to since 2004. Haven't been successfull with tickets most of the time since but to be honest I can't ever remember knowing anything about the line up before getting through the gate and getting the programme.

What will be be will be that's the beauty in my opinion.

Nah not yet, I like to life to the edge so will until 11:56 next tuesday and see how fast I can type....

Nah, I likely won't until Sunday just to see if my mate changes her mind, because that means a lift to glastonbury rather than a coach but despite being totally uninspired by Kanye and the sunday night pyramid rumours, I know its going be damn ace regardless...but I do get people who the lineup is more important than all the "its just damn great really" stuff us on here go on about.

Might also tease the Eavi into releasing the lineup =p

All paid up with campervan East ticket by 09.03.

Yes I know it has been said a million times before but I couldn't care less about the lineup. Glastonbury is so much more than who is headlining..... If you don't like it vote with your feet and go elsewhere. That's what I love about Glasto.... No matter what your taste in music there will be someone somewhere who you will enjoy.

Personally I wouldn't care less if no acts are announced until you are through the gates!

I've paid for me and the GF. Partly because I'm ridiculously bad at remembering things, and don't want to risk an automatic refund on the 7th. But mostly because it's nothing to do with the lineup for us. We just love the festival to bits, and wouldn't miss it for the world!

(Also we fucking love the Foo Fighters)

Refund would be the 8th wouldn't it ? I'm not being petty I'm just convenently paid on the 7th and would pay then.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
