BST are now offering an instalment plan. They really are getting desperate, the final payment date is after the gigs!

I'm tempted to bite, but I think they can/will go lower.

They really are getting desperate aren't they? Shame there were not Ebay auctions for tickets anymore - you'd get a right steal in June on those.

I am not all that surprised the Strokes aren't selling well, a run of 3/4 Ally Pally shows would better suit them. But the fact they're having to really push for Who/Blur sales amazes me. You'd have thought they'd be fairly safe bets for high ticket sales. Will BST even be there next year?

I'm tempted for the blur/who combo. Is the sound really that bad there that £99 for the 2 of them won't be value for money? Will the price drop further?

the sound was desperately bad for the blur olympics gig in 2012, and by all accounts it's got much worse since then....

also, the who are playing on the friday of glastonbury

The sound is bad enough that £50 for the 2 of them would still be a rip off.

you can be clever with standing near speaker stacks - i did for libertines and it was ok. Vowed never to go back after springsteen 2012, but didnt know if it'd be the last chance to see libertines. Quite enjoyed it but it is a terrible venue. The "stages" for the supports are laughable. A little bandstand and an indoor tent venue with a small capacity.

word is out that it's the worst venue in the world.

shame

if it's sunny I think I'll head over and see what bargains can be had on the day. I'll put up with the bad sound for a tenner.

Yeah, I love Hyde Park, but the setup for BST is a shambles.

I went for the Libertines last year, and quite like Wolf Alice, so wanted to see them, queue time to get into a room where they where on, was an hour, because everyone was waiting for Graham Coxon, so thankfully I didn't wait. Shame.

The sound is quiet, and it's just got an 'Hi, thanks for coming, now give me all your money vibe', which is quite annoying.

I am really regretting buying tickets so early and not waiting it out. Last year got blacksabbeth tickets so cheap as there were so many around.

Dont know what possesed me too especially knowing how much of a bad venue it is.

Oh well you live and you learn I guess.

it's not 'bad' as such, it's just quiet. If you get close enough to the stage it's not too bad

At a gig that size, quiet is bad.

Last time I went there (Springsteen in 2012), the sound was so quiet that I could hear a conversation taking place about 2-3 metres away from me louder than I could hear the rock band playing on stage. Swore I'd never go back regardless of who was playing.

And since then, rather than things getting better, the council have insisted that the volume limits are cut even further.

I wonder if people waiting it out for ticket prices to drop has now become a self-fulfilling black hole in their business plan.
