Gone from 75dB to 73dB since then. Sort of pointless having gigs there. Your kitchen blender is louder. As is your dishwasher. And a plane passing 1000ft above you.

Out of pure curiosity, does anybody know what dB the pyramid functions at usually?

Yeah and when they soundcheck the Pyramid on Thursday afternoon its really loud too. Last year the headliners had sound as good as I've heard anywhere. Including Rock Am Ring. Which is incredible. But too loud.

Yes it can. When you're ears are itching at 140dB and you're desperately rooting through your pockets for something to use as earplugs because Lemmys bass is causing irreversible damage to your hearing, its too loud!

I hope they don't play again. I wouldn't want anything to risk sullying the perfection that was their headline performance in 2009.

I even get goosebumps when the British Gas advert comes on and I'm reminded of The Universal ending the greatest Glastonbury performance I'll probably ever see.
