Getting annoyed at people in work now .. 'Oh I've heard it's going to be a washout this year isn't it. It said so in The Mirror. Good luck, glad it's not me!"

Sadly, my response of "Pedmills, Briddj, Jackone etc on the efestivals forum have reassured us that it'll all be fine with light showers across Friday and Sunday" has fallen on deaf ears.

everybody automatically assumes it's a washout every year where i work. I keep telling them it's been mostly fine since 07 but every year we go through the same conversation.

Finding myself jumping at rainfall After the festival now - was so ready to see things far worse this morning, but seems to still be alright!

People not packing their waterproofs are mad though - this is still England! Even with all the hard work here things could change between weds and monday - be prepared, and joyous if they're unused

Ok, so in summary, do I need to buy last minute wellies? I've been trying to avoid doing it for the last 3 days and time is running out.

Ok without them?

I'm not a Glastonbury regular so don't really know what the current forecast means in terms of how it's going to be under foot.

My frame of reference was last year, which was obvious a different story!

So.. Wellies necessary? Or not?

It depends what else you've got. If you've got walking boots, I wouldn't worry too much. If you've got your best trainers, i'd go get some wellies

Me: "We're off to Glastonbury tomorrow"

Fools: "is that the muddy one"

Me: *despair*

    • Nearly half owed to UK pension funds and banks, a third to foreign investors and the rest to the Bank of England.  We can say we won't pay the interest or the loans back but who would lend us 100 billion again next year? The Bank of England are selling their portion  at the moment which I read is making things worse so we should tell them to stop but I don't really understand why that is.
    • Gotta be worth a bump for old times sake
    • Let's hope you're right - having secret set by Olivia Rodrigo would be huge. It might even overshadow the Thursday trainwreck.   We'll see in a couple of hours.
    • Yet again we’re missing the WH Sunday reggae slot
    • Occident has got larger over the years and there's relatively little overlap with mbv and OR fans that I think it would work fine as it would divide the crowd so effectively.   They don't even need to give the biggest stage from an optics perspective either, this would be billed as a secret short set and used to promote her new album.
