Stone roses in with an outside chance at headlining? Announcement tomorrow could be 3rd album and could be given the chance to make up for 1996?

Most of R&L's audience probably weren't even born in 1996.

I suppose if they are around it would be possible, they've done the obvious ones and Melvin Benn didn't rule it out completely. I guess it depends on whether their management/promoters want to keep them in their bubble and do V/T again or go for the better narrative and do Glasto. R&L can throw money at the band that their management might see some of as a percentage but there are better options for them that they would steer the band towards.

I was there. Ian Brown was abysmal, but Heaton Park was amazing. They would be wasted at Reading though, dont think many people would know their tunes... kids today... etc etc

They are even less relevant at T but went down very well.

Saw The Stone Roses at TITP and V in 2012, they got a fantastic reception both times. Whilst a lot of younger members of the crowd might not be as familiar with them, they're the kind of band who will sell festival tickets to enough of their own fans to make the atmosphere for them, especially if they have a relevant support e.g. Noel Gallagher in 2012.
