I banged my knee on a table outside my flat when walking home tipsy last night. It still hurts a lot and hurts worse than the time I took the entire skin covering and a chunk of flesh out of my knee.

#willstories

The three worst pains I've experienced are as follows:

1. Having a massively infected ingrown toenail for over a year (including the removal of said ingrown toenail).

2. A series of incredible sharp pains in my stomach I got for a full night the day after some horrid circuit training at school. I went to A&E and was dismissed with "unspecified abdominal pains" (thanks pal I couldn't have worked that out myself) (this was Sc**thorpe A&E and there was a girl hiding out there cause she'd ran away from home, and her mum turned up looking for her while she hid in the department).

3. When my ankles swelled up massively at Werchter and I couldn't fit my shoes on and if anything touched them I actually could have cried my eyes out.

Here is a pic of my toenail after removal of the ingrown part :)

Your toenail is a ponce. I had both mine ripped off with forceps as I watched. The doc made a right abortion of it and so now I have to do the same again every now and then. I can't feel it as the nerves are dead. It does make anyone that watches boak though.

I split my ballsack open on a camping chair on the Wednesday night of reading festival 2009, went to the medical tent to have 5 stitches but before this my ball had to be injected 3 or 4 times, that was the worst of it. And I stayed until the last day of the festival, what a trooper!

And from now on you shall be known as Buck Shelford.  He is a legendary All Black that played on despite a Frenchman ripping his knacker sack with a boot and having one of his baws hanging out.

I thought this was just meant to be Will parodying his usual shit stories. Why does it need to be a competition with exploding dicks and stuff? Stop it. I just wanna read people's predictions.

Yeah, I don't get how my shitty story about a banged knee turned into a pain competition.

    • Well he is on a rape charge, don't see that one as controversial.    Although Hakimi is in Morocco squad.
    • Electric Callboy just said they'll be touring here next year. I'm not sure there's a poster for it though. I'll look when I'm near some next.      He said we'll see you at Download at a gig before any of the band. Presumably he was trolling. They're in Austria at the moment and Germany tomorrow with a week's break and more shows in Germany. Whilst not impossible to come back here and then go over there again, it seems unlikely.
    • Thomas Partey, knocked back by Canadian immigration now.
    • I'm sure someone can update you on the clashfinder, and it will be pretty accurate by the time the festival comes around. It's a large flat-ish arena with main stage in the open air, no best side I'd say. Leadmill (3rd stage medium tent) is at the back of the main arena, T'Other (2nd stage big tent) 5 min walk round the corner. At full capacity walking around can take a bit more time though. I noticed that The Enemy are scheduled to not fully overlap with Wolf Alice, so you could catch part of their set too.   You can walk around anywhere with a beer, with most bars the usual mass market stuff, but one nice craft ale tent, back of the arena near the Leadmill stage. A main meal will set you back £10-15, but cheaper snacks also available. Expect a pint to be £7-8. Possibly a bit more this year as prices everywhere are increasing.   It's fairly easy to get to from the town centre using the tram, although can be busy at peak times / very busy at curfew. If you like a walk, it's approx 40 mins to Kelham Island (lots of indy venues) and probably an hour to the city, or catch an Uber. There will be loads of 'fringe' music events on around the city right through the weekend. Most are free. Have a wonderful trip, enjoy the festival, and your stay in our city!
    • I think people on a place like this, that clearly value live music more than most, don't. I'd rather an academy than an arena every day. But I could see a few people that care about "the gram" than the actual music wanting an arena experience even if it's a mid sized band.
