Fine words.

Ahh, cheers YOAS, I really hope us festival fanatics have many great memories from something that we post many posts throughout the year though. We really deserve it after all the anticipation endured on these forums.

Are you watching the Highlights by any chance?

Hello willutalk

I have to report that I've not been watching highlights of anything. I'm not going to Glastonbury next year, so am kind of trying not to get too emotional about the festival. If I'm honest, there's another festival that now ' does it' for me. That's not to say I'll not return to Glastonbury. I don't think anyone who has ever been can say that - assuming they are still with us, of course.

I hope Glastonbury and 2015 is a ball for you.

Happy New Year one and all. A quiet night for us and off today for a country pub lunch. Really looking forward to meeting up with a few more EFesters and a good season.

So far only definites are Wychwood and Glasto with possibly two more after that. Hopefully Farmer Phil's.

Booked the time off work today, then booked the time for the family holiday.

Priorities.

Then I booked two days off for Bearded Theory even though I don't know if I'm going or not.

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
