Oooh lists!

1. Sufjan Stevens - Carrie & Lowell

2. Florence + the Machine - How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful

3. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds – Chasing Yesterday

4. Mini Mansions – The Great Pretenders

5. Blur – Magic Whip

6. Laura Marling – Short Movie

7. Modest Mouse – Strangers to Ourselves

8. Peace – Happy People

9. Jamie XX – In Colour

10. Drenge – Undertow

The ones below Mini Mansions are quite interchangeable and there's some like The Tallest Man on Earth, Hot Chip, This Is the Kit etc that just miss out. It's not been a vintage year for albums for me so far but Sufjan and Florence's albums being so good makes up for it.

Ace news.

Susanne Sundfor is touring too: http://www.stereoboard.com/content/view/192515/9

Tickets are only £10! That's a bargain people! Get your arse down to the show, it's cheaper than watching Jurassic Park 5 revenge of the GM dinosaur.

I just saw that news, the Deaf Inst gig is on the Wednesday of my holiday. Went on the same holiday last year and came back on the Thursday for 65daysofstatic at the cathedral, now I know that a round trip from the Lake District to Manchester is do-able, there's nothing stopping me (nearly ran over a few sheep while driving over the fells at 1am though).

A few sheep is a worthy sacrifice. It should be a cracker. I'm going to buy a ticket and hope that I've managed to find a job in Manchester by that time. The North is way more fun than the Midlands.
