Friday: Foos, Florence and the Machine, Dizzee Rascal, Rudimental, Kendrick Lamar, Hozier, John Newman, obscure act with lots of fast drumming

Saturday: Elton John, The Jacksons, The Vaccines, Tom Jones, Clean Bandit, Kaiser Chiefs, Caravan Palace, Rhodes

Sunday: Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, Lionel Richie, George Ezra, Kodaline, Chrissie Hynde, HH the 14th Dalai Lama

edited because didn't realise Duran Duran were Bestival exclusives.

Can't see Dizzee there, Kendrick too low (unless it's a kinda midday hip-hop slot), obscure act with lots of fast drumming aren't big enough for Pyramid, The Jacksons wouldn't sub (especially above The Vaccines), Tom Jones done the legend slot already so doubt he'd return for a random 4th down slot, Kaisers too low surely.

Sounds blunt and dismissive. I'm just blunt and dismissive by nature.

Can't see Dizzee there

hopefully, tho after he turned up in a sub slot in 2013 who's to say, maybe he's the mystery third headliner

Kendrick too low (unless it's a kinda midday hip-hop slot)

yup that's what i was going for, Snoop Dogg/Professor Green/De La Soul type thing

Tom Jones done the legend slot already

had forgot/didn't know this

Kaisers too low surely.

probs tho Neil claims they "chose to play bad slots" last year so who knows

Sounds blunt and dismissive. I'm just blunt and dismissive by nature.

At this moment in time, I would bite your hand off for that line up. The only clash would by Kylie and The Mondays.

Kingcrawler your line up is actually so good that I dislike it. Would miss so many acts

Agree, there's more clashes than anything else, not that I would compromise a line up as quality as that, the great thing as well is I don't think it'll be too far away

Same for me for the most part, pretty short of 'must see' kind of acts, until the Sunday night clash of FKA twigs vs SVE -> Belle & Sebastian vs Future Islands -> JAMC vs Taylor Swift. That would be less than ideal (I'd be at the JP tent though).

Pretty decent prediction nonetheless.

That is incredibly believable, the real thing won't be far from it at all.

The prospect of Marr returning to play with the Cribs on the Sunday, alongside Dalai Lama, Richie and the Alt-J/JMC/Belle&Seb clash would more than make up for the bland headliner booking we're expecting on that day

Edit: My final comment reads as if I'm excited at the prospect of a Cribs/Johnny Marr/Dalai Lama/Lionel Richie supergroup. Lets just take a minute to imagine that

    • Plenty of good stuff this month. Very difficult choice, but I'm going with some of those I've listened to most (the sunny weather may also have been influential)...   1. The Coral - 388 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me 3. The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind!   Others I've been enjoying... Laurie Anderson's live album, Broken Social Scene, Pigeon, The Black Keys, etc
    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
