Not Glastonbury related at all, but, the new nights that Hydra are planning look pretty interesting - http://www.factmag.com/2015/08/06/clock-strikes-13-london-the-hydra/ - looking forward to seeing what they do for the Hyperdub and XL Recordings nights.

Looks good. I take it this is the main autumn series being announced on the 18th?

What I've heard it is more of the same, Holding On w/ Gregory Porter is a great track

Just noticed its Manchester Central not Arena

I thought the record was out last week, not this. Still can't get the hang of the new release day.

Heard that track, which I like, but I'd like to see some progression from the boys.

What is Manchester Central? Was it ever called anything else?

OK, so I'm not really back on the forum at the moment, choosing to continue my post festival break until I (please, Lord) manage to get a ticket this week.

However, listening yet again tonight, I was compelled to come back to this thread to ask if any of my fellow beat-heads have, like me, been entirely blown away by the sheer frickin' brilliance that is Howl by Rival Consoles?

Holy buggeration, it is an astonishingly good LP. What chance of Mr West bringing his live shtick to GF2016?

I so want to buy the double red vinyl, but can not in anyway justify the expense just now...!

Anyone else a fan?

Ben

Used to be the GMEX centre. They haven't had gigs there in years. The last few were in 2010. Its 10'000 capacity all standing or so I'm lead to believe so much better for dance acts than the arena

I saw him at him do His live thing at Vinyl Pimp in Hackney Wick a year or so ago... Was very good! Is the album out yet?

    • Lovely Brexit doc on bbc2 for anyone who wants to relive those golden years.
    • I think some folks are underestimating how many millennials, now into heavier music, were genuinely also into things like techno and happy hardcore in the 90s and early 00s. Scooter may be about is commercialized as it gets when it comes to happy hardcore and techno, but for many, they won't be just a 'silly act' they will be a genuine nostalgia act.
    • Can anyone share please as can’t access the app
    • Someone said something along the lines of "the lows were really low but they highs were really high" and I think that sentence sums up my ps experience this year. Thursday was a downer (even though I got to see men I trust, geese, oklou and fcukers), but the weather, the missed shows and the uncertainty (those comms...) made it a bad day. Friday and Saturday on the other hand where rly good, a bunch of amazing shows each day (The Cure one was quite something), that surprise on Saturday...   Will be back next year, hope they get another impressive lineup as this year (quality and quantity wise) and that tickets and  primarily hotels don't get much more expensive.
    • Rosalia Radiohead NIN MGMT Bjork David Byrne   Also Vince Staples' new album is cool. I could see him returning.
