Still hoping for Incubus, Frank Turner, and maybe Smashing Pumpkins but I fear none of them will show up. What other names you think are still possible? We're still waiting for around 28-30 bands/artists.

Future Islands, the Libertines, Selah Sue, Frank Turner and Seasick Steve are possible. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis could play too. George Ezra could be back. Kendrick Lamar, Mark Ronson, Jamie T and Kaiser Chiefs have chances too.

The Friday is possible the worst day lineup at a festival I've ever seen now! I'll be mooching around Brussels/leuven all day eating waffles/chocolate and some decent food while getting some Stella down me! Hate mumford, no idea why they're popular or headline material so was really hoping for blur or now even the strokes or libertines!

That's my thoughts also. Never seen a day line up as bad as the Friday. I'm lost why people find m&s worth watching. I utterly despise them

You should listen to the new video by Mumford and Sons on their Facebook. It sounds great, loud, rocky, with deep echoes, and the new album seems to be surprising. It sounds a bit like the "old" Coldplay, but with more reverb.

So the question now is whether Friday tickets will start selling fast or not. If not, and I'll be surprised if so, than maybe we still have a chance to see Beck or The Strokes before M&S and Pharrell. Probably just a wish

The more I think about it the more okay I am with M&S. Don't think that they're headline material, but I think they'll be a good act to get pissed to. Although I don't adore them, I think a day out in Leuven/Brussells and then get back to catch Mumfords set would be pretty okay.

I agree about the rest of the day though. The only act I give a shit about atm is Death Cab For Cutie and I really cba hanging about all day for 2 bands! I'm team Sunday all the way. Muse, Kasabian, Enter Shikari, Die Antwoord and Counting Crows is my idea of a perfect lineup. Hoping they wont all clash :/

Saying it's about taste is a bit wrong to be honest, werchter has always been about big acts. If you want something a little different or diverse you would go to pukkelpop/dour.

The big acts is what seriously lacking on the Friday, I actually enjoyed mumfords last time at werchter.

Saying that I thought last year's lineup was average compared to other werchter lineups, that's why I sold ticket. I would say European festivals coming into line with average UK fests line ups now. For example primavera always has amazing line-ups but this year Is pretty disappointing.

Analyzing Werchter line-up is easy to understand why the moved the festival one week... Can you imagine this line-up without Foo Fighters??

I'm more disappointed with the way this announcement was handled rather than the actual announcement, M&S are pretty much confirmed everywhere so wasn't a big headlining annoucement.

In terms of big names, they headlined Glasto! So are Foo's, so did Kasabian, so did Muse...

For met to a great day, just a lack of big names. A lot of my favorite bands are playing on friday, just great!

You are forgetting Balthazar, it's one of the best belgian bands, you should listen to them!

What's the chance the Strokes are comming? They only played once in Belgium (Ab Brussels).

Would also love to see Stereophonics, Gaslight Anthem, Catfish & the Bottlemen and Incubus added to the line up (any day except Saturday). There's already too many bands on Saturday I want to see and I'm starting to worry about the clashes that will be caused if they keep adding good bands to it.

Agree on Stereophonics. They have always brought rock'n roll into the festival. People say there are no rock bands anymore but we can easily count Strokes, Libs, Incubus, Catfish, Vaccines, Stereophonics, Weezer, Interpol, Wolf Alice, Gaslight Anthem, Black Peaks, We Are The Ocean, Darlia, Of Mice & Men etc.

London Grammar is announcing some dates in July. They were brilliant last year, still a good name for Klub C.

Also Jack Garratt and Rae Morris are good names for Klub C.

Hi!

I ended up on this forum while googling for tips about RW.

I was there in 2009 just for the day when Oasis was playing and had a total blast! This year I really wanted to go but I couldn't find anyone that wanted to join so in the end I bought my tickets and will be going there by myself.

I decided to go for the XL camping because you can access the campings on Wednesday and they will also give you the festival wristband then. I remember that I had to wait a very looooooooooooooong line in 2009 when I got there on Thursday. They gave us water while waiting but the heat was terrible.

Is there anyone also going there alone? Or someone that went alone in the past? Would be great if you could share some tips!
