Rock Werchter 2015

Gonna go ahead and say your last headliner could well be Mumford & Sons

I hope not, I thought they were horrible in 2012...

In 2012 they played third down, before The XX, Editors and Chase & Status and they haven't done anything since then, I can't see why they should headline.

I still think Coldplay will be our fourth headliner...

I'm afraid M&S is indeed an option. Since their last Werchter appearance they sold out Sportpaleis in no time, which Placebo or Lenny Kravitz failed to do. I think we'll see them in a construction with strong other acts. Something like Kravitz - M&S - The Prodigy would sell out, sad but true.

Since 2012 they've had a massive album that's sold massively across the world.

They'l headline anywhere now. I don't even think Coldplay are touring seeing as they haven't been touted for anywhere at all... I'm not saying it is Mumford and Sons but I won't be surprised if they are your saturday headliner.

Unfortunately i agree about the Mumford & Sons being a headliner with The Prodigy on after, if not them then they'll be on after Pharrell. New album so i don't see why they wouldn't play. I'd hate Mumford & Sons but think it may well be an option because think they might be tight at the minute. Have to see what the next few weeks bring with festivals announcing! If that is the case and M&S do headline then I'm hoping The Strokes, Weezer, FIDLAR, Slaves, Drenge, All Time Low, Jack White all play to compensate! Althoyght i think they're all unlikely but I'm not sure on any of those bands status in Belgium!

I'm with you on this one Goddard.

I'm wagering they are waiting for the glasto line up being announced. Then releasing a shit load of festivals like Werchter, roskilde, Isle of Wight etc etc.

New names mid next week would be great. Something like: Slash, Gaslight Anthem, Noel, The Tallest Man On Earth, Mew, Netsky/Stromae :)

Slash is playing Graspop so he won't come. Hoping for something more suited to my taste then the other five....

Just read some great news! U2 are touring this year, and are playing in Chicago over the weekend of RW! which means there is no chance Bono an Co will infect the stage and our ears at the festival this year! brilliant! :)

On another note, Radiohead are set to release a new album very soon.... and talk of touring the UK with it has already been spoken about... another possibility for the lineup?

Massive Attack have also been quiet for a while and i would love to see them there!

EoDM: 99% (typical Werchter act)

Weezer: 5% (have been ignoring Belgium for over a decade)

I'm curious what Dour and Les Ardentes will bring. They're both pro at booking acts that are used to big spots but can't make it past afternoon or tent at RW. Got a feeling that Incubus might headline either of those, for example.

Don't lose your faith with Weezer!!! I think that they have ignored Europe (but UK) in the last decade. For example, I think that they've never played in Spain in all their history. Let's see what happens in the future with the next annoucements but I mantain my solid opinion that Weezer will play Rock Wercher.

I hope you're right, but I'm not to optimistic though...

Hello , I am Antoine , 20 , and i come from Belgium. I did Werchter 2012 ( what a sunday night) and 2014 and I got my combiticket for 2015.

What do you expect for the headliners this year ? Muse and Foo are already awesome but i think we can wait for more.

Personnally, I think Netsky will be certainly a party dance-act to close a day like Friday or Saturday like chemical brothers after the Foo Fighters.

What about others ???? Imagine Dragons ? ( new album end february and did werchter last year in the barn)

Coldplay ? ( New album is coming too but maybe werchter will be too short for them or they will perhaps do some festivals before releasing it like in 2011 )

RHCP ? ( new album in 2015 i heard)

Radiohead ?

But please NOT editors or KOL again .... :)

Others Ideas ?

Others names possible : Hozier, The Kooks, Selah Sue, Ed sheeran, Kiesza , Fauve, Caribou, Echosmith.

Surprised he hasn't been mentioned more tbh, the guy's got the world at his feet and has already sold out Wembley for 2 nights, or is it 3? Either way he's huge and imagine is touring next year. I'd like to see him there personally.

What makes you think that? I'd love for Smashing Pumpkins to play!

simply based on bands playing in Australia this winter. Slipknot, Slash, FNM, Judas, Marilyn Manson, Incubus, Lamb Of God, Papa Roach will also be touring Europe soon. The only exception is Soundgarden, probably because Cornell is recording solo album. Pumpkins got new album out and maybe they will come over here to promote it... Just a guess

    • Sabrina I actually think is alright, but as an overall thing including Fontaines in the mix it does look very boring.
    • I went to the O2 show as had cheap NHS tickets. I did love the whole Machine Gun Kelly vs MGK Emo/Pop Punk stuff amusing and could see that show going down well. I thought it was so funny watching the video skits of a die hard old skool fan gradually morphing in to an Emo Kid. That show with less old Machine Gun Kelly tunes and more MGK Pop-Punk would be ace.   Pair him against a heavy act on the other stage and jobs a goodun,
    • Not sure if this is allowed, but I have an additional daily ticket which I’m willing to sell for a heavily reduced price. If you, or someone you know wants to go that day, but wouldn’t for the original price, let me know.    Edit: It’s for Friday
    • Couple of standing tickets left on ticketmaster if anyone is still trying
    • Choosing  I think boycotting a festival you would usually attend simply because you don't like one of the acts is pretty petulant to be honest, just go and watch a different stage. There are plenty of the usual slam dunk attendees who would be into him, as well as attracting new festivalgoers too.
