What's keeping me positive is the fact that most major fests around that time still have to announce more than 1 headliner: Roskilde, Glastonbury, Primavera, Open'er, Benicassim, Eurockeennes, Hurricane/Southside, TitP, BBK, Nos Alive, ...

That's making me believe that there's headliner worthy acts waiting to announce their first tour dates.

I agree that makes things a little more interesting. That or all the festivals are finding it extremely difficult this year to find headliners, saying that it's only the beginning of January and some bands may not have wanted to release any tour information yet if a new album is not yet announced.

Any chance of NOFX and All Time Low playing? Both around in Europe at the time.

I know it's not very likely, but I'd give my right arm for SOAD They have their own European shows in the spring, maybe they are waiting for them to sell out before they announce any festival dates...Please don't spoil this for me with some boring facts about how they have other plans

Yeah, it's only the Thursday tickets you can't select anymore ('not available' after selecting the number).

Tomorrow an official statement then. Guess we'll get an update on the other tickets and/or some new names too.

Using the picture in the link as a reference.... where is the best spot in the Hive to camp?? Also are there areas that are less likely to have people partying the whole night, and areas more likely to have people partying all night??

not camped in the hive but one thing i will say is dont camp within 200 feet of the toilets.

if the weathers good like 2013 they smell like death even though they're maintained.

saturday of 2013 i was sick in the middle of the walkway when i got near them. not good

It's tame in the campsites, thats why they have the Hive section for those who want to stay up partying. If you can try and get relatively near a spot with all the facilities it is good. In that pic, where the short little path line is from the biggest facility area, we were just beside that. Close enough that it's handy to run up to, far enough away that they didn't actually smell the first 2 days.

They also open it up in sections, will hold people back behind a rope. It can be annoying to get a good spot, and they open the left hand side first (well, they did last year). So a lot comes to luck when you get in as to where you'll camp.

So are the other campsites generally less busy than the Hive? I am assuming there are showers in all the campsites and not just the hive?

Is there normally a big crowd gathered waiting for the gates to open on the Wednesday, the group of us going have all got XL camping tickets in hope of getting a good spot to camp!

I had a similar sick experience with the toilets at Hurricane Festival in 2011!

If you come at Wednesday, you just have the possibility to camp on the hive. It's a very clean and silent camp ground. For partying you should go to the Party tent.

We came about 2 pm last year and had a place far away from the entrance. So for this year we planned to be earlier. The place wasn't bad, just a long way to walk (especially after 8 hours or more on the festival ground)

Some names I expect:

Mumford & Sons (2 weeks before Werchter at bonnaroo, US)

Counting Grows (together with Lenny Kravitz at Concert at sea, the same weekend)

Stromae (at least one headliner should repeat...)

Caribou (typical electronic act, on Festival tour next year)

Deadmau5

Milky Chance

Parov Stelar Band (Will move from Tent to Mainstage)

Awolnation

Hozier

Belle & Sebastian

I'm curious what Dour and Les Ardentes will bring. They're both pro at booking acts that are used to big spots but can't make it past afternoon or tent at RW. Got a feeling that Incubus might headline either of those, for example.

Eagles of Death Metal will play I think.
Weezer, I don't know. Hope so but havent played in Belgium since forever...(have they ever played RW?)
