I'm trying on the University network and on 4G, and have my girlfriend trying on laptop, phone and tablet at home, plus my parents with a desktop computer, laptop, two phones and two tablets, and my girlfriend's mum with a laptop and tablet. Hoping beyond hope that it's enough - I'm shitting myself already, like a constant little dribble. Even more so with the reference to waiting until 2017 above. Not a nice thought.

I might be wrong (no techie) but what I've gathered from discussions here is that having more than one device sharing a connection doesn't help. It will slow both down and there was even some talk they could be treated as having multiple tabs trying as they come from the same IP address but as I say I could be completely wrong.

With the coach tickets, it had one more extra page than usual (from what I remember with general ticket sale) with that you have to pick which destination you want your coach from. Without this page on Sunday, surely you'd get through that little bit quicker as there is one less hurdle or am I just over thinking it haha

I think you chose the coach departure on the same page as the one you confirm your name, i.e. the second page. I'm sure that's what I did anyway

I got through on 4g fine. It just cut me off after payment details. I'm on my own Sunday so will be sticking to just the iPad and EE. It worked yesterday so I'm not going to change it.

Same here. I'm going to (ok hubby is as he is technology geek) tether iphone on 4g EE to iPad and try that way

Have you hibernated the pc or anything? I was going to do it and decided against it. Im gunna be interested to see if it works!!

Yeah hibernated it each night since - it's running like a 3 legged dog now, but I'm going to persist with the experiment until Sunday

I left this running on my Nexus tablet, from the time it recognised my registration number was -edit- not for cycling, and I won't now click on proceed till Sunday. Can't believe it will work, but it's an option so I'll take it.

Different tabs in the same broswer might be treated as the same session but its doubtful the session would be based IP address. (Because if it were, you could potentially have hundreds of people using the same IP address and it would be one hell of a mess :P)

Different porn mode (private) broswing windows should in theory each have different sessions aswell as different browsers. (Basically having fuck loads of tabs, might effect you once you actually in :P)

why would you even want an auto-refresh app?

Two windows/browsers, refresh one, wait on other then refresh, switch back wait... refresh... etc

it's a very human time-scale thing

wifi is not as good as direct connection, access to multiple routes (eg over phone network and broadband would make two routes) is handy that's about it that you can do - save your money, stress and time.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the Firefox Auto Refresh plugin discussed earlier that costs a couple of quid.

It's not a Firefox plug-in, it's an iPhone app (and possibly Android as well, I don't know). Search for 'auto refresh' in the app store and you'll find it. It's something I'm having going in the background while I carry on with Plan A (F5/laptop).

Ahhh...OK. Cheers.

Will also try it out on my Plan B....
