Changing the subject completely .....

What do we all think about a Flaming Lips appearance?

Haven't played since the '10 Other stage headline slot, have released 4 records since and are headlining Liverpool sound city (Along side confirmed Belle & Sebastian and The Vaccines).

I wonder how set in stone the Chemicals are on the Sunday night. I know Neil has had some info to suggest so, but we've had nothing concrete. Purely for selfish reasons I'd prefer them to be on the Saturday night. Does it affect things at all that it will be a repeat of 2007s Pyramid/Other Sunday night headliners?

It worries me that it will anger the weather Gods

Looks like it will be the Who! Judging by the angry responses on the site the paris gig is selling its tickets from http://www.gdp.fr/fr/node/471

They have sent an email out advising the date has been cancelled and they can have a refund or exchange for the other date

Was that actually a username?? lol

I dunno man, Quite similar! Least Bonehead had a personality!

So did Clapton. A racist right wing womanising Tory who loves heroin. Whats not to like?!

It's quite obviously a joke tho aswell!

I know but some people take this shit seriously.

    • Ah, that is interesting and ruins my theory a bit!!   I think my point just about holds though, and coming full circle on this discussion, being a sizable band such as Muse and not being able to sell out two O2 dates very quickly or at all doesn’t fill me with confidence that they be able to do a decent job selling a stadium tour…although maybe if Muse do something about their pricing, maybe they can!
    • I’ve said it elsewhere too but Emily Eavis said a 2028 headliner was booked, to me that’s only going to be someone the size of Oasis or Taylor Swift
    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
    • Second go.....    Still f**king fantastic - Well done WIlliam Orbit -  Bugman & Trimm Trabb mega tracks - No Distance Left To Run hauntingly Beautiful
