Who would people prefer. Simply Red or Take that? you have to choose. :banghead:

Whilst you make a valid point..

Simply Red and Take That supergroup performing the greatest hits of Bon Jovi > another Tory government > Oasis > Alex Ferguson coming out of retirement > Stone Roses.

Which of the criteria rules out Take That?

Shows to sell in May

Tour dates work perfectly

Band

British

Have had stadium tours as reasons to turn down Glasto HQ's offers in the last few years they could feasibly have been asked to headline.

They would also fit the "said they hadn't been called despite wanting to play" pattern.

It's obviously them.

Been peddling this one for months mate. Agree it's silly not to think they're firmly in the frame tho not actually expecting them.

Simply Red.....

But only if he got Ronnie Wood, Rod Stewart, Kenney Jones and resurrected Ian McLagan & Ronnie Lane (RIP) there - and then he sat down out of the way and he let The Faces rock the masses at the Pyramid.

And am I right in saying the Faces haven't been mentioned before on this crazyass thread?

Those bits were more about what would generally be good for the world than a remark on your tastes yeah sorry.

I really hope not but...

.....Simply Red.

- new album out 1st June - same day as announcement

- Touring later in the year

- "He's definitely British, but the band are not British any more"

- "been around for a long time"

I can't stand Simply Red.

If its them, I will be as far away from Mick Hucknall's smug face as I can possibly fucking get.

Got to be a strong enough headliner that they wouldn't have Florence headline instead, so I'm going to assume it's not that level of w*nk,

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
