were they there throughout the whole gig?

it was a nice touch for sure, but I would hate to see one of my favourite bands do it.

Yeah all gig. I liked it, knowing how committed a fan base they have. And it showed how much they loved being there. Bringing all their fans on stage with them for one of their crowning moments.

Thought the video was excellent too. Very funny.

Worst thing about the video was that it interrupted the real intro (Ennio Morricone) that I was looking forward to............

Meh, that was the point!

It was way too fucking long!

Worst part of the gig for me. It was really annoying me a bit the way in............

Thank you! It WAS quite funny but went on for far too long.

I thought their performance was a bit 'wet' too. Just didn't seem to nail it like I had expected them too.

And where was the pyro? Metallica letting out balloons? Give me a break.

Yeah I was defo surprised with the lack of Pyro but I thought it didnt matter in the context. They nailed the gig. The Mrs who would say she despises heavy music even enjoyed it and my little one (21 months at the time) was going mad loving it..........An odd family moment but in a great way

I'd give my left nut to stand on that stage and look out to a packed field during a headliner set

I nearly had the opportunity but phone battery life and crappy phone reception on a Sunday at Glastonbury resulted in it not happening. Gutted so I was.

I would have been most happy to be a dickhead up there!

The lack of Pyro was surprising - don't know if the big down pours had anything to do with that.

As for the "balloons" - they were beach balls that I think they'd had at other gigs on the tour. The ones they released had "Glastallica" on them with the date of the gig. A nice touch which my Metallica-obsessed-mate was ecstatic with when he managed to grab one.

haha great. Out of the 12-13 in our group they all loved it. I was very surprised.

Also you're a sick bastard asking for pyro with all those fans on stage. Do you want to see them burned alive?! Like James.

so caribou definitely playing on the friday, makes that list look a bit more fixed ...

caribou, will be very good on the park..saw them headline Melt festival in 2012, and arguably they are much bigger now...even though i thought the last album was pretty poor...the daphni dj sets are always decent thought, so id imagine he'd be playing after they finish the park.

I have most likely missed it, and I know there is another thread purely for it - but I have come this far with this thread that I can't handle reading through another, what is the proposed most likely time if there is an announcement tomorrow?

general thinking is that as the registration deadline is tomorrow at 5pm, then an announcement will be after that.

having said that, last year it the lineup announcement was at 8am, and the registration window was still open, so that might not make a difference.

i'd guess somewhere around 7pm.

if it isn't out by 9am, i'm certainly not expecting it any time until the evening anyway.

    • Hi Everyone!   I need your help. I'm trying work out who was playing at The Wishing Well at 3am on the Monday morning at the 2025 festival - this was once the official setlist had ended. The music was down tempo, bass heavy, kept evolving, just mesmerising. Anyone have any ideas? and/or was there as well?
