yeah, on here is literally the only place i've ever heard about this magical Blur 2009 performance. i doubt the band themselves care about "tarnishing" it when they've a new album to promote and a comeback happening. i doubt the tens of thousands of people going this year who didn't see Blur the first time care what 2009 was like.

Have you seen "No Distance Left To Run"?

The band said it themselves Guv.

When you think about it, it's really the Kanye fans that are the racists and misogynists, and to prove it I'll drag his wife into it for no reason to have a pop at her, then defend an actual racist.

That'll show them.

It's both hilarious and depressing to watch them giving themselves a collective hearty slap on the back for managing to make their internalised misogyny look like moral rectitude.

I'm so bored that I'm tempted to try and keep this going but I can't be arsed. Yet another sign that I'm getting old. I can't go along with "actual racist", though. I firmly believe people can change (Kanye's 1st couple of albums (before he became quite so obsessed with being famous and rich) were excellent, for example (note to self - stop trolling)) and I'm not sure it's best to judge people based on what they thought when they were young and high.

Has Kylie been ruled out? There seems quite a lot pointing to her just as much as Blur, if not more so by her going on telly to plug tickets and also this new 'pride' announcement. Maybe trying to flog as many as possible before a Glasto announcement...?

I think Kylie is actually possible... NOOOO!

I mean someone tell me it will not be her..tell ne she's playing elsewhere that night.

I could be wrong, but I think that Kylie has basically sold out her tour, so she'd have no reason to hold back the announcement.

I'm not certain, though - someone correct me if I'm wrong?

It's her British Summer Time gig at Hyde Park that I'm more thinking of.

AND it's the tenth anniversary of when she was supposed to headline. It just seems to fit

Hasnt sold out her day at BST. But at the same time it isn't included with the desperate measures BST have starting going to for the Blur day etc, so it can't be doing too badly.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
