That guy knew something and added a load of bullshit into the mixer. (Photoshop etc). A pre recorded interview took place and discussed the line up along with the headliners. The roses were spoke of. Thats pretty much all there is to it.

So was this the interview Shaun Keavney was speaking about then?

It's not going to be the Stone Roses FFS!

  • There is not a shred of credible evidence
  • They are not active as a band
  • There has been no 'leaks or strong rumours'
  • No band has ever headlined the Pyramid Stage 20 odd years after their last album and with no new material and only 2 albums in total.

I appreciate that for a lot of people it would be a dream but it's getting increasingly tiresome that we keep getting this rumour based on nothing else than new posters and self confessed trolls.

*goes back into his grumpy corner"

this is coming from a guy who thought the roses would headline the other stage. please settle down.

Can't post the link as I'm on my phone but Twitter user Joe Andrews, whether he knows stuff or not is claiming the sunday headliner is 100% the stone roses. When questioned about it he said "can't give it away but it will be confirmed within the next week or so".

I'm trying to pin where this all started because there really has been a "flurry" of people suggesting it's them. I kinda wanna know if it all came from here, or somewhere else. The stone roses fanpages are all now tipping them as likely.

I thought your original post was saying that they are headlining and it'll be announced next week?

WTF is going on!?

He said that on the 20th. Wasn't that when it all kicked off on here?? I find it highly unlikely, actually..... He doesn't know.

So, you've joined today, made a post announcing you 'know' who the Sunday headliner is, which sounds suspiciously similar to a recent troll post, then tell a long-term poster to 'settle down' when he disagrees?

Okaaaaay......

The best info on The Stone Roses has still been by a regular poster, Big Vern

Mike 99 was first I believe, then followed by big vern, then it was roses4baggie or whatever - then a few people on Twitter then this.

Hmmmmm, I'm kinda hoping they are right simply because it would be lovely to have a headliner this year that sits well with this forum.

I wasn't saying Vern was first, Mike99 was just dropping ridiculous hints to suggest he knows it's them, Vern was backing it up with what seems believable info

I'm the great white hope.

You're the new blue blood!

Has he said anything else other than that one post?

Wasted my dinner break catching up on here again. Well, when I say wasted, I've belly laughed twice.

If that new guy isn't Roses4baggie I'll show my backside in Harrods window!!

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
