Really don't get the fuss about Foals. The slot they played at Reading last year was one of the worst performances I've ever seen

Brilliant live band for me. Saw them for £4 in a dingy club before their first album, seen them support Bloc Party, headlining Ally Pally and at festivals. Think they're great.

yeah 2016 definitely seems more likely as it doesn't seem like they're very far in to the new album (although Radiohead did spring their last two albums on an unsuspecting public so who knows how hard at work they've actually been on this new one)

and yeah i agree that the In Rainbows material will be fantastic when it finally gets aired on the Pyramid. let's hope they're still fond of it by then and we get a lot of it

Yeh it's devastating to think what songs from In Rainbows wont be played next time they play glastonbury. At most we'd get 3 from 15 step, jigsaw falling, weird fishes & reckoner I would think. Maybe nude too.

If only they'd headlined in 2008 in place of Jay Z...

Oooh I play in a shit band called Radiohead and i'm really edgy, let's keep a pointless 'H' in my shortened name just so people know how edgy I am. Fuck you TOM Yorke.

Anyone but Radiohead, that goes for 2016 and all following years as well.

It's become cool and edgy to make disjointed and experimental music. Look at most artists they have all tried the style.

And who brought it to be cool? Oh radiohead. So yeah you should have respect for them ;)

Plenty of other stuff on that will take your fancy, you don't have to be there if it happens.

Do they ever play Jigsaw? I don't think it was played on the last tour. Reckoned and 15 Step have to be played though. The In Rainbows and King of Limbs songs are absolutely mind blowing live.

Damn you're right about Jigsaw, last time they played that was at reading in 2009 according to setlist.fm! I thought that was one of the KoL songs they rotated in.

I remember first time I heard KoL on record I thought they'd had a howler, then I saw the songs live and everything made sense. It sits comfortably alongside all their other albums.

I just know the next time they headline glastonbury will be the year I fail to get tickets....

I read that as "First time I heard Kings of Leon on record I thought they had a howler" - you would have been right.

I agree with the king of limbs point too. I saw them in manchester, it was so much better live

Yeh I never listen to the studio album of KoL, just live bootlegs. 1000% better.

We just don't get it. We're not intelligent or into our music enough, man. We're not fit to even have out ears in the same room as Hail to the Thief cos of all the brackets, dude. They're not just a band you know.

yeah, apparently, next year, as part of the ticket buying process, the booking page will play a random 10 second clip of Radiohead. if you can't identify the 'tune', you get booted off the page before you even get to enter your registration numbers.

And yet the slot they played at Glasto last year was incredible. They will headline Glasto one day, it wont be next year but they will do it one year. I was having a drunken discussion with a friend on Saturday about potential headliners in years to come and he was saying that the talent pool for headliners is drying up a bit while Im pretty optimistic, as who knows what some of these bands will be doing in a few albums time. It might not be for a long time but I can def see the likes of Foals, Paulo Nutini and Disclosure headlining at some point.

Next year though, Fleetwood Mac, AC-DC , Lady Gaga.

On the plus side, if you get through, you'll be asked to pay what you think is fair for the ticket(s).

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
