Think this forum is broken, it's certainly a little bit out of order.

Suppose you can say what you like but it's all a bit uncalled for. A bit too far I'd say.

Of course I've also opened myself for attack too :(

Back on track, still many variables and could go either way :)

A similar change in the forecast also happened in 2010 on the Friday before, and then reverted to high pressure throughout which we will hopefully get confirmed on Sunday...

I know it's a bit of fun every year and tradition but...

Countryfile will only be going on 1 particular set of data (same as the bbc weather site) unlike Jackone for example who looks at the whole picture. It will also be about 12 hours behind as not live. It's fun for some people but as a source for the latest state of art weather predition it's a waste of time.

Countryfile forecast for the week ahead does not go on one set of data it is an analysis and forecast based on all data available to the met office and based on what the chief forecaster at the met office says. It is also a live forecast. This includes use of some additional data that even the likes of Jack One cannot see. The bbc weather site on the other hand is based on the gfs 12 run and written by a computer. Yes it can be wrong but is the most accurate forecast we will find as it is not based on one run.

A few nonsense weather reports and stupid posts and people get all aggressive! Fucks sake.

Imagine not being at the festival next week. Now thats a mare. Poor bastards sitting in the office all day while we're living in the greatest place on earth at the time.

Chief Forecaster? Wow.

I imagine something like this:

I'm watching this one closely and still seems contradictory messages... BBC now has rain and dark clouds EVERY day, which really equates to a mudbath.

If that's the case, due to my knees being buggered, I'd be looking to sell my ticket as I've been down there before in those conditions and it's an absolute non-starter. I'd have sold up by now, but there still seems to be glimmers of hope and I guess we won't really know until the start of next week, so I'm in limbo about whether to start splashing out on stuff for down there...JackOne, like others, don't have a clue.

Nal - Being Irish if you are going to talk about a storm brewing you could at least pick a better tune

Also being Irish - that's just a shitty cover of Don't Fear The Reaper.

:D

Exactly Nal spot on... that will be me this year!

Will be the first time in 7 Glasto's that I won't be there....the closer it gets the more I'm getting depressed thinking about it :swoon:

Even 2007 never put me off and I doubt you'll have to endure anything like that so stop all the moaning people... I'd happily give my left nut to have a ticket like you lot have so chill out and enjoy yourselves you lucky gits!

Bear in mind that the those ominous little black clouds are inappropriately what they use to predict "Light rain shower". Even if its right, that does not - after a week of sunshine - equate to a mudbath.

A mud footspa perhaps

Those black clouds also have sun on the side and a single raindrop, that symbol means showers, for a while most the models have showing showery weather for next week, so I think I'd say that's what we're looking at, it won't be as good as this week but won't be horrible either.

How on earth can a forcast change so much in a few hours?

Last week the forcast was disgusting for Swindon and it turned out fantastic

4 time a day as that's how often the models are run.

Last week the forecast for the southwest was good, from reading the model outputs, for this week I posted as much in this thread.

It is possible that JackONE is actually an advanced cosmological mystic, In which case we can but hope we don't end up in the darkest timeline...

Well. I feel Aquarius is heading into the path of Piscies, and I see a chance of scattered rain from South west over Saturday day with winds of up to 20mph, but lighter rain than projected earlier (0.04inch). There we have my interim reading

I appreciate from reading other posts on here that its probably not the most reliable source out there but festiweather is looking absolutely gorgeous at the moment .01mm of the wet stuff covering 5 days of the festival.

I'm sure I'd leave a bigger impact by sneezing

Exactly... although it appears you think it's I who is aggressive.

Anyhoo Nal, you and your doom mongering pictures is the whats causing it ;)

Yep we are indeed the lucky ones but aim high I say.

I know the feeling, I have bad knees also together with other problems it not fun at all in the Mubarak.

Looking at my preferred weather site http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/England/Pilton~2640283/long.html

They are only forcasting 3.1mm of rain up till Saturday night which basically is a little humidity in the air.

Fingers crossed it stays the same.

    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
