Even Glastonbury themselves ruled the Stones out of playing last year.

It could be that they're still in talks but Prince's people are getting pissed off that anyone would report it as a done deal, so rather than say "we're still talking" it's easier to say he's not playing, even if he might be!

all that story seems to sat is that Prince isn't booked. I'd imagine there are hundreds if acts who haven't been booked - yet - who will eventually be.
