U2

12 times in a year wouldn't make you a nutbar.

It would make you a U2 groupie. Which would make you a total fucking loon.

Which one could you even possibly conceive shagging?

Mullen? The 'Jr' would make me feel a bit, well...

The Edge? In his hat?

Bono? You'd have to shout his name when you came.

I've seen Adam Clayton's cock though.

But you're not a nutbar.

So it's ok.

So.. New album due early'ish next year, I wonder if they would want another crack at the Pyramid? I know they weren't thrilled last time, everything went against them, pulling out with a bad back firet time, terrible weather and jet lag did for them when they played.

I'm speculating, no more, would they fancy launching the new album on the Pyramid like Coldplay did so successfully the following night?

It just struck me that they might want to get a good one under their belts...

Please NO. Over-bloated, massively over self-important - and tax dodging. what a ghastly combination.

I was wondering why the aggressively pro U2 stance, but now I see. You're a nutbar.

Not that that's meant as an insult, it's good to have something you love, but paying and taking the time to see the same band do essentially the same set that often is definitely a clinical something

Next year I'll be going to the Netherlands to see Marillion do a series of three gigs. Three weeks later I'll see them do the same in Wolverhampton. Two weeks after that I'm flying to Montreal to see them do it again. Mad? Probably!

Welcome to the new normal.

I know. Its fucking depressing. Think the standing tickets are about 60 odd quid which is ok.

But the idea that someone with a lot of money can get closer to the stage than an uber fan who can barely afford the cheap ticket price?

"Lifelong fans, thanks for travelling to our gigs from all over the world and buying our albums for the last 30 years. Really appreciate it. However, on this tour, you can't get as close to the band as these guys unless you pay an extra £150 quid each. Oh, and tickets are on sale in a couple of days, two weeks before Christmas so I hope you have the cash ready......like now! - Bono, Edge, Adam and Larry."

Fuck right off.

Nyet, comrade. I suspect the last time I'll ever clap eyes on Bono & Co will be them limping off with their tail between their legs after the Moment of Surrender / Out of Control twofer.

Any money left in the gig kitty will be heading in the direction of Angus Young's bank account - announcement tomorrow depending.

    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
