Felt bloody old when the NME released a 10-year anniverary covers album of the Libertines' Up The Bracket, and when new bands started referring to them as a classic band. Jesus, that was only about 20 minutes ago, wasn't it?!

I was 22 when I first saw them, on their first proper tour. My friend ran their website, libertines.org, and we embarked upon a right old adventure. I was young, in a band, not entirely repugnant to the opposite sex, lustrous of hair, and able to burn the candle at both ends every night while holding down a job. Where did it all go wrong?!

Shame Goat is a Latitude exclusive - they were brill at Glasto and I would have loved to see them again
