Lineup 2015

Do you already listen to Moose Blood? They seem like your sort of thing but can't recall if you've mentioned them. Either way, I really really like them going by what I've heard so far. Kind of like early YM@6 meets Brand New.

Yeah I like Moose Blood and really enjoyed their debut from last year (I nearly saw them this year too, don't remember why I didn't go in the end) and I have mentioned them one or two times but if the clashfinder is accurate they're probably gonna clash with either Gaslight or The Cribs and I'd rather see one of those two. Anyway I'm off to listen to their debut again :P

I can see myself really getting into them. Shame they're not on Metallica's day instead :P. Although that day for me is already literally packed.

Gonna give Moose Blood another listen tonight. I'm really into Boston, Bukowski, Anyway and Gum.

Also listening to Queen Kwong just now, she's really good. I was going to say "this track reminds me loads of Nine Inch Nails", just googled her and she was actually discovered by Trent Reznor! (I hope no one's already pointed this out or I'm a tit).

In Leeds? I almost went to that and I've still never listened to a Moose Blood song.

There are some decent early clusters on Friday (Drenge, Palma Violets, Parquet Courts, the Bots) and Saturday (FIDLAR, Slaves, ASIWYFA), and if you can catch most of Mini Mansions, the Cribs, the Maccabees, Jamie T, Manchester Orchestra, Cancer Bats, WSS and Refused the Sunday should be good, but there are large gaps to fill. Mastodon and Azealia Banks would be a good end to the Saturday but there doesn't appear to be any solution for the absolute horror of Friday evening/night.

I'd advise just saying 'Cool Shirt' next time

A smile represents an appreciation, of sorts. I thought that would be sufficient. I guess next time I'll stand up on a packed bus, run at the geez- shake his hand and commend him on his whole attire, then focus solely on his shirt. Maybe offer to take him for a meal, then inevitably sleep with his mum/sister (depending on age). I reckon that endeavour would result in a look similar to the one he actually gave me.

I'm not sure how I'd feel if some bloke was smiling at me while I walked through a packed bus

It was one glance, one smile. It wasn't a contious stare and smile- my head didn't follow him, like some sinister owl.

    • mmm... i note there are several derogatory comments about this... not sure what it says about me, but i could spend a happy afternoon here...   Simple Minds, Deacon Blue and Texas are all great live bands.   hell, i'd even be drawn away from the bar to see James Blunt (if only for a bit of a nostalgia trip for his show on the Pyramid that i admit i hugely enjoyed).   still, with all that said - there's no way i'm going to the other end of the country for it...   🙂

    • Have a great festival to those that are going, I cant wait to get there tomorrow!
    • ah i get ya.. Yeah I hate festivals that have that barrier and front section. Roskilde is gonna be the same, which I'm not looking forward to navigating. Like you say, you end up missing other stuff having to get there dead early. Luckily there's not much we're arsed about on at Roskilde though so that wont be such an issue! hahaha
    • Not directly my expectation but my wishlist   - car seat headrest (it has been way too long these guys did Europe) - death cab for cutie - new constellations - interpol - bush - swimschool - suede - the haunted youth (should have been there this year) - flipturn   and oh yes Yumi Zouma can come any week, day, hour but this is a personal fetish with this band
