or you could just listen to his new album + Liines, survive it too. But I fell into the trap of falling in love with the latter two tracks you mentioned and he doesn't seem to do them anymore...

Just listening through some acts I'm not familiar with and Youth Man and Ho99o9 are pretty awesome. Black Foxxes are v. good too.

Ho99o9 is a very interesting booking for the Pit and I dunno why Yellow hasn't been shouting their name from the rooftops.

I've found The Skints and DMA's to be worth a shout. I actually have up to 21 acts I could probably catch over the weekend to be honest but only half are what I would intentionally set out to see.

Horrorcore is dead

(I haven't really checked them out except that time rawaudioinput linked me them the other day)

You should check 'em out some more and not be put off by any association with that shit. It's a lovely mix of Tyler and Death Grips.

Yeah I always find a tonne of smaller acts that I'm interested in but not enough of the bigger acts that actually get the money out of you. :P

Hmm, Horror. Why replace the r's with numbers that more like q's than anything else? Bun that.

It's quirky. All the cool kids do it. It's like saying "bun that".

I've been really enjoying the Black Foxxes ep. Will be checking them out for sure.

    • Yep, honestly this seems like the most likely option right now.
    • Agree. Also there was a lot more crossing over between stages. I know they need to put the cure, the xx and Gorillaz on the main stages but if they could have put your Blood Orange, Big Thief, Baxter Dury on Cupra and Occident with Jade and Pinkpantheress on the main stages, it would have been a massive improvement.
    • 100% THIS! I haven't quite been able to put my finger on it, but I think you've just nailed why I didn't enjoy this year as much as usual. In last years edition, the likes of Slowdive or Big Thief would have had evening slots at Cupra or Occident, instead of being shoved on to the main stages during the day. Apart from the very biggest acts (ie The Cure, the pop headliners), most performances at Mordor just lack that special "wow, I'm so lucky to be here" feeling that I remember from the Jesus Lizard and Anhoni sets that you've mentioned.  Sidenote: I wonder if there's a decent chunk of ticket holders that gravitate towards Mordor simply because it's the biggest stage, without really caring who's playing at that time, thus the increased (and incredibly noticeable) yapping.
    • Some horrible talkers around me as well for that one. Plus the mobile beer taps pressing through almost all the way to the front, which really should be illegal.
