Lineup 2015

The other thing with Deftones is that it's a one off they're doing at Wembley, is it not? I couldn't see them playing an arena on an extended tour of the UK.

The same with BMTH, it took ages for them to sell out a 12k capacity London date, they'd have a lot of trouble selling an arena tour out I reckon. There is no doubt that their placing this year is one, because they want to push them beyond their placing and two, the lower price for a day means they can. At the previous prices they are a 3rd down act.

I couldn't think of how to word it, but Sonisphere's undercard tends to cater to my tastes more than Download's, so I guess I'd rather pay to go see SOAD there than Download. I think people might be a bit more critical of Deftones subbing if it's under someone like Slipknot who a lot of attendees (sorry going by twitter) don't see as headliners at R&L. Whereas if they were under Rage, they'd be almost blanked.

Really? With the Radio 1 exposure Slipknot have been getting with the latest album and the Reading clientèle seemingly declining in age, I'd say teenagers are more likely to see Slipknot as a headliner than Rage who haven't released anything in years!

I'd love either but looking from a majority point of view...

I'd be surprised if Slipknot did anything other than headline, if they'd even play nowadays I don't know.

I'm not saying it needs changing nor am I criticising it, there was meant to be a sad face next to the statement but it didn't work. I merely said the clash finding has them playing for an hour. Looks like that's all mau5 will get too so Tyler doesn't clash with kendrick... I'm not planning my schedule either, I just looked.

    • I love this festival but Mordor has got worse and worse to the point now that I dread going there. 10 years ago there just weren’t as many people, as many bottlenecks and there wasnt the need to arrive early to have a decent spot.
    • Aren't they against touring?
    • If my memory serves me right, it was the other way round - when PS 2022 lineup was released it was already confirmed that she plays Barcelona in May.
    • Cheers! And yep looks identical to Green day's scheduling
    • Reading all the feedback with interest.  If there are now 75,000 tickets officially sold, plus who knows how many more people blagging in - then on the Friday evening and Saturday in particular, it's not ridiculous to suggest there's 50,000 people at Mordor, which is a stadium gig - except with much worse sight lines, an inferior PA, and far less bars and toilets. The Thursday evening in 2022 was of course infamous but on the Friday night for Beck I was trapped about 150m from the stage, surrounded by chatters, and with no prospect of getting nearer the stage.  With hindsight that was when I realised the fest had one way or another fundamentally changed.  Also noting on Reddit that some folk didn't enjoy the Cure or Gorillaz because the sets were "too long".  In future bands may be better received if they actually just play their top 10 Spotify songs then get back off the stage.
