To be honest I can't see coheadlining happening often, it just costs more than getting one headliner so surely its better to just have one?

Why do you assume that two smaller co-headliners are more expensive that one bigger one and a sub? And even if it was, how do you know that the potential increased ticket sales from having those two does't off-set the increased cost compared to a headliner/sub combo?

I see Deadmau5 is there too...

Would Reading ever consider putting a dance act on the main stage after the headliners (not a co-headline situation), similar to Nero last year?

Not sure if there are restrictions in place preventing it or not.

I don't think so but who knows what they'll introduce in future? IOW have introduced it and T were gonna. Deadmau5 is still not too big to headline NME is he? Not that I think he will.

Yeah I reckon Kendrick will be a great fit for the Mackl... nah. But I reckon he's a good shout to sub and it'd probably be quite good too.

The Fall Out Boy tour has officially been announced incase anyone was wondering (I doubt it)... They're playing Leeds arena on the 3rd October and finishing on the 11th October. what does this mean for Leeds festival? Still reckon they'll sub (or play) or will they just focus on their tour?

Oh and I'd love Kendrick to be at Leeds since I've not seen him yet

Not too sure about the actually restrictions but I'm pretty sure there's a curfew of around 23:30 for acts at Reading, I think Leeds have a slightly different restriction and can have acts on the Thursday and after the curfew. Not sure tho.

Midnight for Reading, I believe Leeds is earlier for the main stages (which is why the schedule finished at 11 compared to 11.30 at Reading) but they can go later on the smaller stages on the Thursday.

What has Kendrick done for people to think he'd sub? He doesn't have the same mainstream appeal Macklemore does.

He has more than NIN?

Mumford could well be the last IOW headliner, with the fest waiting for them to launch a new album campaign before announcing.

Well the only festival they're announced for is ruling them out.

his stock has fallen since headlining wireless in 2012. With the sw4 headline slot last year selling at a similar rate to skrillex in 2012 I feel he might be nme headline sized now

Perfect response.

Yes he might not be as mainstream as Macklemore but Kendricks probably one of the best new mainstream hip hop artists to emerge for a long time. His stuff is great, his third album will too no doubt.

I also think if R&L wants to get him in a lower position than headline, this is their last chance because I think his new album is gonna be massive.

Having a chat about Leeds with a friend of mine and basically, what does everyone think are the chances of these playing this year?

Noel Gallagher - nah he'll do V

Lana Del Rey - don't reckon so

Knife Party - yeah probably, headline or closing show on NME

Kendrick - possibly

A$AP Rocky - mebbe

Stone Roses - nah no chance

The Sherlocks - no idea

Courteeners - dunno, apparently they mentioned something about it at a gig of theirs, but aside from that I wouldn't have thought so

?
