Lineup 2015

Is this true justanothername?? I need this fob are one of my fav bands and I love seeing them live :-)

Well I read it on here so I think so :P

I'd say Foals are bigger, but if either were to play in 2015 it would be subbing or maybe headlining NME. Given it's 3 years since they last played I think Vaccines will come back and sub this year, before the Libs of whoever the 'indie' headliner is. Foals will either headline or sub in 2016 depending on how big their next album is.

Comparing the size of the two is difficult now as neither of them are doing much but I'd still say The Vaccines are bigger as I just know more people that like them but they're nearly the same size anyway. If The Vaccines played they would either sub or headline (depending on how well the new album does but my guess is a sub) but then again they may hold out for a 2016 headline slot.

I swear some people last year kept going on about there was going to be a Hip Hop headliner again for 2014 just because Eminem did the previous year.

What? I'm not saying "it happened last year so it'll happen again". I'm saying I thought I remembered Melvin saying something which suggested he sees co-headlining as a good idea and something he'd do again in the future; something he never did with hip hop headliners.

Obviously I could be wrong, but it's completely different to what people were saying about hip hop headliners.

Fair enough but I'm just getting the same kind of vibes from some people though. Anyway I would really trust what Melvin is saying. It isn't like he is going to say "coheadliners were a huge disaster and I was a fool letting it happen, it won't happen again!". It probably will happen though

One small improvement

Muse + Adam Lambert, Olivier Giroud + Adam Lambert and Queen + (Adam Lambert)^2

Wow shit that Saturday night is my dream.

Also never tweet about Adam Lambert, unless you want an endless amount of crazy people stalking you.

On a serious note, though, Queen + Adam Lambert was fucking brilliant. I couldn't imagine many things more fun at a festival. The performance actually dropped so much when Lambert wasn't on stage. There was a huge section in the middle made up of a couple of Brian solo songs, a drum battle between Roger and Rufus Taylor, and a 10 minute shite solo from Brian which was awful. As soon as Adam came back it rocked again.

For what its worth he once said Paramore, Black Keys and Florence would headline one day. Paramore already has but I would be so pissed off if Florence headlined, she's so not a Leeds act nowadays.

Nah why what's changed since last time she played?

Pretty much the same as Muse though init.

I know he is great live but I just don't like the fact that it is Brain May's ego + Adam Lambert really (which I'm probably wrong on...like most things)

But that isn't one of his shitty clues or something that bigs up the festival. Anyway Florence is still a good fit for the festival as she hasn't done anything different since the last time she played.

So mumford are heading bonnaroo, they are active this summer.

So V or Reading :P

Seeing as US fest headliners are the hot topic this month then might as well mention Kings of Leon and The Killers are heavily rumoured for Firefly Festival despite both promising they'd fuck off for a while. I'd find either would be down there with some of the worst headliner bookings in the history of the festival but worth mentioning anyway for the KOL apologists.

I swear they always do this... Claim they are having time off then announce a tour out of nowhere. Both haven't put out anything good for years so i'm hoping they too steer clear.

    • My party again had an outstanding 4 days in Barca. We made the right call to leave the festival site early at about 10.30 on Thursday to get ourselves some excellent steaks in the city. I am with everyone that the organization should have been clearer about what is going on and also if you would like to get rid of some attendees open more exits, they sent us from gate to gate until we finally were able to get out. Biggest 'disappointment' was the beer price, a YoY increase from 5 to 6 is absolutely nuts!!! (i am living in Switzerland so me making this comment says something 🙂)   Top 10:   1. Men I Trust 2. Role Model (could have been first as well, what a great artist and great songs) 3. The XX 4. The cure (the last 90 minutes) 5. Gorillaz 6. MBV 7. Ninajirachi (another big miss of the organization, clearly on the wrong podium and wonder if Olivia's surprise set had something to do with that and they had to reschuffle late the Occident, Cupra and Port schedules) 8. NewDad 9. Big Thief 10. Annastashia      We did 3 years Barca now and for next year looking at the Porto or Bilbao festivals as an option.
    • Personally if it was me now, I would be grabbing a green camping ticket with the knowledge closer when I've refreshed that I can still choose general if I want to....you can't do the opposite!    I would say if you are happy to watch your headliners and big bands further back to be able to see who you actually plan to later then yes it is fine. Its a much difference experience to any other festival especially food wise and camping surrounds.    Once you're in the arena as well you're not going back unless you've got a gap. If I go again I'll be going with the option of not trying to push the front and enjoying further back as you actually put too much pressure on it than the time take away can forget to enjoy other acts.
    • No complaints about the sound. We were like 2nd set of steps facing stage right in like the middle row.
    • On the whole then, yay or nay...I've had a look on festivals united and there's people who seem converted by Rock Im Park, I can imagine it might be different if it was a washout as RaR is tarmac.   The hotel side would be more to convince the non campers if it's an option. On my first visit to rock am ring we were shuttled into the area where you could stick the car next to the tent which was fantastic as it meant zero lugging of camping gear.
