They're gonna sub Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, Reading and Leeds, T in the Park, V, Sonisphere, Bestival, Latitude and Parklife.

o will

actually I retract my T statement because I can't see T pulling anyone big enough for them to sub too...

Did anyone manage to find out if that article was fake? i still have my money on them playing R+L.

What do you mean? The article wasn't fake. The picture wasn't fake. The caption might have been incorrect but it was removed fairly quickly either because it was wrong or they jumped the gun in using that as a fact about the Libertines.

Do you remember who they subbed last time?

Last time they subbed after not playing any shows for 6 years... they probably didn't want to give them a headline spot because it was unclear if there was any hype for their return considering they ended on such bad terms.

That's utter shit dude. Their reunion was a massive prospect and had been talked about for years as Pete was in the paper all the time and the whole Kate Moss thing. They might have been a possibility for a headline slot but I don't think they wanted to risk them pulling out. If they take sub slots again then they're obviously not considered a headlining prospect by anyone.

No idea where you get the idea that they'd only agree to sub a huge act or that they'd sub Metallica or that T couldn't get anyone bigger than Metallica so they won't play.

2008 Metallica had tenacious D subbing under them, also what's this pic goin round that was on photobucket which has been deleted ? Can anyone pm me it please ?

Wasn't there a line in the article that said they were playing R&L that was deleted as well as the caption?

If it was both that would make me think the journo probably had heard something.

    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
    • Similar feelings to a few others on here. Not my personal favourite edition but a long way from giving up on it. Felt overcrowded at times and there are just too many people there that don't seem to like music that much! Hardly went to main stages which was the plan. Highlights Ralphie Choo, rusowsky, Gorillaz, Geese, Gelli Haha, The Sophs, PinkPantheress, Dijon. Accommodation booked for next year. Thanks for your company and comments over the past year.
